[Event] Heartless Invasion (Warning: Violence)
[A simple but intense dislike for Bakura had evolved into a hatred so strong Kai almost didn't know what to do with it. He'd tried distracting himself with friends, games, his dog...nothing really seemed to help as much as practicing his magic, and then only because every time he cast it, he was pretending he was using it on the Creeper. After a while even that didn't work. It hadn't taken him long after the stabbing incident to start practicing another of his skills, and while controlling the first Shadow he'd managed to summon had been a disappointment, he'd gotten better. Good enough, in his opinion, to carry out something he'd been considering for a while, but hadn't decided on with absolute certainty until Karasu was sobbing her heart out on his couch.
Killing the bastard won't be permanent, but maybe taking his Heart will be.
After locking Surge safely in the bedroom, Kai checks one more time to make sure the Blue Eyes Keychain she made for him is hanging from his belt before heading to the door. As his hand grasps the knob, a flash of silver catches his eye; the ring 'Jem had given him. Frowning, he tugs it off and goes to hide it in a kitchen drawer. The hell he's wearing it while he does this. The thought stirs an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach, and Kai shoves it away. Time to get on with it.
Forgoing the door this time, he opens a Corridor instead, focusing on pinning down the Creeper's location. He's pretty sure...Ah. Feels like the library. A smirk touches his lips before he steps through. Bakura might be gone by the time he gets there, but it's not like it matters.]
(OOC: So, Kai's finally had enough of Bakura's crap and sorta...snapped. His intention is to go after just him, but things are going to get out of hand. Heartless will be roaming the island - a lot of them. For simplicity's sake, they'll be limited to Shadows and Neoshadows. Feel free to deal with them as you see fit, but remember, only magic (including magical weapons) or the Keyblade can destroy them.
Important notes: All event-related threads must stay in this post. If a Heartless takes your character's Heart, it counts as death; they'll revive in the clinic within three days (at least). No Nobodies are allowed to be generated if your character becomes a Heartless.
Kai should hopefully slip back into the land of sanity within a few hours of starting this fiasco, and he'll start cleaning up his mess then. Mostly hunting down the suckers, but he can do rescues too if needed. It may take him a few days to catch any stragglers.)

Hm-?
[Huh? That's weird. Even before Kai steps out of the portal he has an odd feeling. It's like the Ring is giving off warning signals suddenly, putting him on edge. He hasn't known it to react like this since Malik set Rosenkreuz after their blood. He's expecting something dangerous to come out, but instead, it's just... Kai?]
What's with the flashy introduction, Shade-kun?
[He has a really bad feeling right now.]
no subject
Just felt like it. Having a quiet day so far?
[It certainly looks that way. Well, going to be fixing that in a minute. Kai doesn't wait for him to answer the question, instead snapping his fingers and just grinning when half a dozen portals open around Bakura and Shadows begin spilling out. They're not so close that he won't be able to at least attempt to get away; where's the fun in just killing him outright?]
I thought you might like a surprise.
[Here's to hoping it hurts.]
1/?
2/?
[He senses the darkness before the portals open, looking quizzically around at them in a curious manner.]
3/?
But still interesting.]
4/?
[The quip doesn't have its' usual bite to it. It takes him about half a second to realize making it at all is a bad idea. This is a dangerous situation.
Not that he cares if his host dies horribly, especially when he'll just come back, but there are bigger concerns. Like Malik.]
You shouldn't have.
5/5
The thought flashes in his mind. Risk-taker or not, he knows what these things can do. He doesn't understand how Kai has control over them now or why he's suddenly acting like a big-shot villain, but he's heard enough and seen enough of them to know this is one of the most dangerous scenarios possible for his host. If they take Ryou's heart, will his host come back? The presumption of setting them on him pisses him off! What good was his idiot vessel if he couldn't even be counted on to keep people like Kai from causing trouble for him?!
Slamming his foot against the edge of the table, he uses it to shove himself backwards, the chair collapsing to the floor as he uses the momentum to roll to his feet. It's just in time. One of the creatures had already come close enough to jump at him, landing on the table.
His instinct is to go for his knife, but that would be useless; penalty games won't work on something that doesn't have the mental capabilities to play, and even his sleep-inducing ability takes time. And those little bastards are quick. The question is, can they hurt him other than trying to devour his heart? The ones he saw before passed right through. But Kai had said those were just memories, or something like that.
Three options remain. And one of them might not work on creatures like that. But all he can do is try.
Focusing, he draws the darkness around him, bringing the library into the World of Darkness. The helpless moans of the damned fill the air as it grows thick and difficult. A normal being would be drained by this. The question is, will they?]
no subject
Wait a second...what's the Creeper doing now? The frown slips away, Kai looking honestly surprised for a second as the Darkness around them changes. Huh. He wasn't expecting that. Whatever's going on, it's not affecting the Heartless like Bakura might've hoped. If anything, it seems to excite them, and their aggression rises a little. Okay, maybe he doesn't need the Neoshadows. Yet.]
This is neat. Sure it was such a good idea though?
[The surroundings aren't bothering Kai in the least, and he's pretty much tuning out the moaning. He's heard worse before.]

FUTURE BOSS FIGHT, GO
You know, if you like vast understatements.
The feeling of wrongness had skyrocketed suddenly, and despite her best judgement, she'd gone towards it, afraid that Kai had gotten himself into some awful trouble and desperate to help him if that was the case. What she had found, instead, was a group of Heartless so thick and so unexpected that even her other side hadn't been able to save her.
Her Blue-Eyes form had done quite a bit of damage, to both that part of the school and the Heartless mob, but being unfamiliar, panicked, and caught off-guard by the sheer force had given the Heartless just enough of an edge to overwhelm her, which meant the heart of the light-infused dragon was now in their grubby little claws.
But Karasu's conversion had been... different. Rather than losing her mind, becoming just another shadow, she had instead changed... become something different.
And something a lot more dangerous.]
...H-heheh...~
[Karasu can be found around the Campus in her human form, either just watching the Heartless or playfully (if somewhat threateningly) taunting anyone who comes by. Her demeanor is quite a bit different now, though the cruel glint in her eye is probably the most noticeable thing.
Or, if you're particularly unlucky (or suicidal), you can find her outside in her Dragon-Heartless form, causing quite a bit of mayhem with those who've tried to escape the Shadows inside.]
((So! Strong enough Heartless can still retain their normal form or something close to it, which is what's happened to Karasu here. While her human form looks mostly the same, her dragon form has been altered quite a bit.
She's not all that interested in taking hearts or actually hurting anyone (unless they start it), but she's certainly on the "villain" side for this! (So ignore how cheery her icons are) She is also available as a "boss fight," but since she's going to be around for a while, she won't be easily defeated early on.))

Hadn't his mom told him that once? She'd made plenty, she would know.
But the longer he made his way through the chaos, the stronger the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach grew. He'd never intended for it to get this bad. ...He's pretty sure he didn't. He'd only meant to take care of the Creeper, get that problem solved once and for all. Instead, now there are Heartless everywhere, or at least it seems that way.]
....
[He has to do something, doesn't he? Put things right. But he's almost afraid to try. Some of the Heartless are still listening; at least none are trying to eat him. At the moment he's almost content to just punish himself walking through this mess...until he drifts outside and comes across a familiar (and eerie) looking dragon.
Oh Light. He'd forgotten about Karasu. But that couldn't be-]
K- Karasu?
[Please don't be. He's only just managed to stop thinking about Ryou.]
no subject
Well well... look who it is! And with your little parade, too~.
no subject
...I'm sorry.
[Why didn't he think of her sooner, why didn't he go get her, why didn't he-
But he had been thinking of her. She was why he did this, wasn't she? Or at least a great deal of the reason why.]
Yeah, well...they cling no matter how you brush them off.

The sound of footsteps and the Ring's reaction to the presence of darkness alerts him of someone's approach up the steps, and he watches with narrowed eyes as a dark shape comes closer. One step at the time, a casual approaching figure climbs the stairs and steps out into the light.]
Hoh...? Isn't this interesting?
[Something about her seems different. Not just the look in her eyes, but the way she holds herself has changed too. Sitting perched on top of the nearest AC Unit, blood still streaming down his arm from the untended wound there, Bakura watches her curiously.]
Yo, Karasu.
no subject
[She had expected to find a bunch of people hiding up here, but most of the reasoning was just to get a higher perspective to watch the scrambling.
...okay, and maybe push someone off. Her eyes drift to the wound on his arm, then back to him, tossing her head a little as she walks over casually.]
Aww... did the Heartless scuff you a little?
no subject
His fingers close over it, stilling it. That doesn't matter. If something's happened to her to make her dangerous - all the darkness in the air, perhaps? - then he can still escape her if need be. Even a dragon wasn't perfect.]
Oh, this?
[He lifts his arm, a little stiffly.]
It's nothing. I got cornered in the library, took a couple of hits before I evened the field up a bit.
[Really, he's done worse to himself. It's like Battle City all over again.]
I don't think they like me very much, h-heheheh...

A CHALLENGER APPEARS!
And so, when she sees the Blue Eyes shaped heartless circling above, a rapid-fire stream of curses are muttered under her breath. Why the fuck is it a Blue Eyes anyway? Did Rosenkreuz get munched? But she doesn't have time to figure that out. The monsters she had been sending to fight - first she'll have to pull them to her side. She can give them more strength while they defend her... they'll need it, if that thing notices them.]

But these creatures, appearing out of... the ground? They almost reminded him of Yahri, the way they appeared so effortlessly, and didn't seem to act like normal creatures. Without a second thought, he gripped his weapons - was it a battle they wanted? They just had to go after the leading man, didn't they? With a timid smirk, he's ready for battle.
Though he can't seem to take them out with just blade blows - he can hold them back, stun them. Guess who's looking for people to help!]

...and immediately slammed it closed when she saw Shadows roaming about and one had tried to reach for her. What the heck were those and what is going on?!
But, she couldn't stay here forever. They might get in, and she'd get overrun. There was one thing could do to prevent it, but...well, she wasn't going to resort to it. Not just yet.
Fujino heaved a sigh as she grabbed a chair, and once she flung her door open again, she wailed on those creatures for as best as a frail-looking schoolgirl could. Although, trying to get one foot out to even leave is quite a challenge, so for the time being, she's pretty much trapped.]
no subject
And when they reform, she's going to try to run them over again. It's kind of like watching a cat attacking a laser pointer.]
no subject
In any case, she's gonna sidestep as to not get in the way.]
Thank you very much, miss! [a pause] Um, do you mind if I join you too?

However, she finally gets a breather when she manages to call down a veritable rain of light swords to pin down all the heartless in the area around her and spellbind them in place. Of course, even this is temporary - she'll have to use the reprieve to build up strength for her heavier hitters. There's no other choice, if the creatures are so intent on following her.
Her area of influence is pretty large though, so she may have created an opportunity for some nearby noncombatants to make a dash for it.]

But it had been a while and Kai hadn't come back yet. With Surge whining about something worriedly, he'd finally decided to go out and see what was up...
And the panic and monsters had definitely not been what he expected to find. But expected or not, shit was going down, and he dives in to help.
Tenar's creating quite a light-show with his ki attacks to blast aside the Heartless, looking around for anyone who actually needs the help.]
Hey! Is anyone there?
no subject
Wha-
[Is that Tenar? Light, he's batting a thousand today, isn't he? He knocks back a few Neoshadows with the Keyblade, making his way over to the boy. At least the kid's attacks are clearing some space.]
What the hell are you doing out here? Go back to the room!
[Wow, that's not deja vu or anything, really. At least Tenar's not throwing rocks at them.]
no subject
[Tenar blasts another Shadow, making sure to keep his balance in the air well enough.]
Besides, I came to find you too! What's going on?! Aren't these the things you talked about before?
