Unhelpful nurse aside, did they (whoever "they" was; someone or a group of someones with enough nerve to line a bank vault) honestly think he would accept news about being kidnapped simply because it was cutely drawn on a whiteboard? In their deluded dreams.

He's going to explore alright, but not because he's "sad"--because he is livid and wants to find a way out as soon as possible. He has much more important things to be doing than milling about some school.

So he's striding through the hallways, hands clasped behind his back, looking for anything at all that might prove out of the ordinary or useful. Like, say, a person eventually coming into his sights.]

Don't worry, I know. This is... I guess you could call it my "human" form. I have another form that I'm pretty sure looks like what you think a dragon would, though it's not completely different. There are some traits I share in both forms.

[Well, coming from a guy who can transform himself, that shouldn't be too hard to believe. It's still weird thinking about something organic doing it, though--where do all the parts come from and go...?]

He notices what she's doing, and goes back to thinking about her hair. If not the hair itself, then maybe on the same train as the eyes...] ...Are you predominantly white?

[Considering he looks and sounds, what, all of fifteen? He understands. Not everyone here is going to know of X the legendary hero, unfortunately. ~~He'll just have to inform them.~~
