CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: UNFASHIONABLY LATE

[Late into the afternoon, the early risers will find themselves waking up, and the sleep-in types will find themselves sleeping in even longer. All sense of urgency and time has vanished, leaving residents sloth-like or simply too inept to realize how much time is passing. Even when they do realize, well...it's too late now, right?

On top of that, for some reason all the clothing in the building has been replaced with horrible 90s fashion.]

I can't undo the past. I've apologized... I've offered to try to make amends, but there's nothing I can do while stuck in here. And yet still... every time we talk, it seems to come back down to that. Like you want to punish me for it. To remind me of my sins against you.

If you wanted to help, then you'd just leave me alone! [The words come out before he can stop them, and he slaps his hands over his mouth the moment they end.]

You hate me that much? You're the one that won't let go... I can't go anywhere... because I'm stuck in here. All alone... inside my lonely, lonely prison. Because I'm helpless here... I can't even talk unless you're touching me. So it's not me that's unable to leave anyone alone.

If you want rid of me so badly... get rid of the Ring. I'll be sad to lose you... but you never wanted me around anyway, right? Just the expensive, pretty trinket I'm trapped in.

It's not like that... [Now he feels guilty and terrible, he wasn't that selfish! He didn't just want the Ring because it was expensive, or pretty...]

My father gave it to me... [Ryou sniffles, leaving out the rest of his reasoning--like the fact it had good memories tied to it, even amongst all the bad. He was attached to it, but in more ways than he can really put into words. Something made it impossible for him to just let it go.]

I want to keep it. [He wrings it in his hands.] And I really would like to just be friends with you, but all you do is try to make me feel bad, or put you on. You're always trying to get something out of me.

Don't cry... I'm sorry. It just hurt to hear that, so I lost my temper a little. After all, I really am trying... I really have turned over a new leaf, you know?

But you know, now I feel kind of guilty... should we start over?

[Dealing with his little host was tiresome sometimes... ah, well. It was still an amusement in his empty, empty world.]

This sudden tiredness is worrying. Maybe you didn't sleep well last night? Have you been stressing out too much again?

I thought I slept fine, I even slept more than usual. I woke up really late... [He trails off and yawns.]

Hm... then maybe that's why. Unless you're coming down with something, you probably overslept and made yourself tireder.

Ahhh, that's the worst...! I wish somebody else could just do my chores for me. [He whines and flops back against the wall, looking drowsy as ever.]
