[FIRST:] Greasy grimey gopher guts
[Taking a moment to peer around the cafeteria, Leo walks over to grab a tray and hesitantly approach the food-counter. Pretty much every option available looks.... equally unappealing.] er....
[Looking up at the rather disgruntled lunch-lady, the German speaks;] Excuse me, ma'am? To be honest, I'm not even sure whether I'm supposed to be here or not... But I can't seem to find the way out, and I was getting a little hungry. So... I was just wondering- do you serve anything here with a little less... well... grease?
[...The lunch-lady merely gives an unamused glare. Leo decides to try again.] I... I don't mean to insult your... fine cooking, it's just--
[Before the rest of the blonde's sentence could even be uttered, a giant glob of... something is suddenly plopped onto Leo's plate.]
................
Is this really..... food..?
[...Whatever it is, Leo supposes it will have to do. With a small sigh, the fighter goes to take a seat and enjoy the free "meal" regardless of it's funny smell.]
((OOC: Well... you've gotta eat, right? Feel free to come and converse with Leo or chat amongst yourselves!))

[But when the man mentions finding something to eat, Pyrrha looks back up at him; popping her head up.] You are..?
Um..! [She raises her hand a bit as the man goes to stand.] Can I-... um....
[There's the slightest bit of hesitation... But then she finds herself reflecting back on Nero's words. 'You give up easy'...]
[With that in mind, Pyrrha balls her hand into a fist; standing up and gathering enough confidence to ask;] -May I... come with you..?
Please...?

Hee preferred to work alone. All those boring religious nuts at the Order...he never fit in. Besides Kyrie and Credo, he really didn't give a damn about any of them. He just liked his job, and Nero was good enough at it that he could talk and behave just about anyway he wanted without real consequence.
That being said, this girl, whatever her name was, wasn't one of them. Although she didn't seem far removed from their brand of boring.
He almost said no, but then, what would be the harm of just letting her follow? It was food after all, they all needed some, and there was also the curious case of how his arm throbbed around her. That was worth looking in to.]
Yeah, fine, just don't start whining if I'm walking too fast.
no subject
[In fact Pyrrha is so relieved that she actually smiles; something that comes all-too-rarely for the girl these days.]
Th-thank you! [She quickly leaves her seat; scurrying around the cafeteria table to approach him.]
I... I apologize for not introducing myself sooner. [The blonde bows her head; going into a polite curtsey.] My name is Pyrrha... Pyrrha Alexandra.
no subject
[And now she's...curtseying at him? Nero just looks away, not sure how to react to such politeness.]
Okay, Pyrrha. I'm Nero.
[Now that introductions are abruptly over, he heads for the door.] Let's just get going.
no subject
[Pyrrha quickly follows behind Nero as he heads for the door.] R-right!
[Staring at his back as they walk, Pyrrha hesitates for a moment before asking;]
Um, do you know of any particular place for us to start searching, Nero..?
1/2
We start at door one, and go down the line until we find something.
[And with that, he sets his sights and starts going down the hall in a grid.]
2/2
I knew I'd find something. [He smirks, all self-satisfied.]
no subject
You did? [Pyrrha quickly comes over to peek through the door.... And at first, she's admittedly confused as to what she's seeing. The Grecian takes a step inside; looking around for a few seconds before the realization hits her.]
This.... this is a kitchen...! [She's certainly never seen one quite like it before! Pyrrha walks over to peer through the cabinets; expression brightening as she realizes that it's been stocked full of more than enough materials to make a decent meal.] And there are ingredients here, too!
no subject
[Nero then promptly digs around in the freezer and pulls out some raw meat. He tosses that on a plate and then sticks it in the microwave.]
Ten minutes should do it, I think...
no subject
If you want, I could... make you something to eat as well. You've been very kind to lead me here, so... it just... wouldn't feel right if I didn't repay you in some way.
no subject
He snubs her by turning his nose again.]
I've got something cooking already, just feed yourself.
1/2
....
Oh.... okay.... [Pyrrha turns away from the man; admittedly feeling a bit hurt by having her offer rejected. But it's... probably her own fault, somehow.]
[Pressing on, the girl decides to leave the man be. A quick look around the kitchen eventually leads her to find several fresh vegetables, which are gathered at the stovetop. A knife is withdrawn to cut up several vegetables and toss them into the pot atop what she can only assume is a stove. But how does she light it without wood...?]
[A few experimental twisting of knobs later, a sudden fire magically appears below the pot. It causes her to visibly jump; backing away from the stove as though it were cursed.]
H-how is this possible...? [She wonders to herself out loud. It's VERY strange... and yet... terribly convenient as well. Perhaps the strange devices of this land will help the process of cooking go by much faster than usual!]
[After seeing Nero pull meat from the freezer, Pyrrha curiously walks over to peer inside of it as well. Again, she nearly jumps out of her skin with a small yelp of surprise.] I-it's cold...!
[But why? How..? Surely, this can only be the work of very powerful sorcery! Pyrrha searches through the freezer briefly; but it doesn't take long for her to discover what definitely appears to be fish. She smiles to herself at this; quite pleased with the discovery.]

[Now that most of her main ingredients are assembled, Pyrrha walks back to the stove in order to finish prepping her meal. Slowly but surely, the girl is beginning to catch on as to which devices do what.]
[...The box that Nero tossed his meat into is admittedly still a mystery, though...]

He leans back and pulls his headphones over his ears, rendering him oblivious to the other girl's befuddlement and awe with modern tech. Although her actions and expressions come off as odd by themselves, he figures she's just being weird.
Nero doesn't pay attention to her for long though, as he starts to idly inspect his right hand. It was still throbbing, and whenever Pyrrha walked near to him, that throbbing seemed to increase.
He narrowed his eyes at the girl and reached up to pull down his headphones. As he opened his mouth to speak, the microwave beeped.]
Oh, done already?
[Nero sounds pleased with himself as he hops off the counter, grabs his pipping hot plate with seemingly no ill effects, and takes a seat at the table.]

[It isn't long before her sliced veggies are roasting. Fish doesn't usually take long to cook at all, but there was the issue of it being frozen. It took a while before she got the idea to let it run beneath faucet water, but once it had been sufficiently thawed out, it is eventually placed into an oiled pan. The most amazing part of all of this is that the fish here seems to come de-boned and pre-sliced already... What an amazing time-saver!]
[In fact, it's such a time-saver that Pyrrha eventually finds herself with little left to do other than wait for her meal to finish cooking. It's during this time that the microwave suddenly goes off; again alarming the poor girl. What in the world..?]
[She peers over at Nero and watches him remove his plate from the microwave. Is he really done preparing his meal already...?]
[Pyrrha begins to lightly season her fish as it continues to cook; though she can't help curiously glancing back at Nero a couple of times as she does so. Admittedly, Pyrrha has a lot to learn about the way that things work around here... But can you really enjoy a piece of meat without... actually cooking it?]
no subject
The face he makes isn't exactly one eluding to a job well down. After all, he just cooked raw chicken in a microwave. Not only was it bland and tasteless, but it had the consistency of jerky and was pipping hot.]
...Ugh. [He bites off a chunk and looks down at his "meal", lamenting over the fact that maybe he should have paid attention to how his adoptive-mother cooked now and then.
But Nero was stubborn, and Pyrrha kept looking over at him, so he just toughed it out and pretended it didn't bother him while he made sure to refuse eye contact.]
no subject
[...Pyrrha kind of wants to laugh right now.]
[Abruptly turning her face away toward the cooking food, the blonde raises a hand to her mouth to stifle it. It's not that she's enjoying the man's predicament, or anything! It's just that... there's something almost endearingly childlike about Nero's stubbornness. Does he really prefer to stick to his uncooked slab of chicken over an actual meal made from scratch? ...It's... strange.]
[A few minutes pass, and eventually Pyrrha finishes preparing the last bit of her meal. When all is said and done, the female finally begins adorning a large plate with fish, roasted vegetables and bean soup; a classic Athenian meal.]
[...However, rather than start digging in, she promptly lifts the plate up and walks over to the table- where she gently places the food before the struggling man.]
I... I made a little extra... by mistake. I've probably grown too used to serving others, I suppose...
[A pause.] But... if you're not too full already, you're free to take anything you want.
[With that, Pyrrha gives a small bow and goes back over to the stove to prepare her own plate of food.]
no subject
Well. [He shifts in his seat, adjusting his sling and looks to be his usual sardonic self.]
I guess it wouldn't do to just let it go to waste. [Nero actually smirks. Then, in one deft motion he flicks his fork back over his shoulder hard enough for the piece of chicken to fly off and smack into the lid of the garbage can. The lid spins intensely for a moment before coming to a slow, rocking stop with the piece of chicken sliding off into the bin soon after.
Then, without any warning, he takes that same fork and skewers that delicious looking piece of fish with it to chow down.]
no subject
[The girl blinks as Nero abruptly discards his previous "meal" in a rather flashy matter; her expression somewhat awed by the accuracy of his shot.] W-wow... [Well that was certainly impressive.]
[After grabbing her own plate, Pyrrha goes to sit at the table herself-]
[*Ba-bump*]
[-And finds that she's momentarily distracted by another small jump in her pulse. The strange irregularity in her heartbeat isn't quite alarming enough to be thought of as something serious, but it is a bit... odd, that it only happens every now and then when in close proximity to Nero.]
[Still, she forces herself to disregard the lingering feeling; choosing to sit and eat her meal at the opposite end of the table after a moment of hesitation. Curiously, she peers over at the man as he digs in to his own plate of food; wondering if it will be to his liking at all. She'd hate to think of her cooking as being a disappointment...]

His arm never did this before, not like this. Something was different about Pyrrha. It was a powerful sensation, it almost reminded him of...
Nero goes back to eating, although he's clearly thinking intently about all this.]
no subject
[After all; who wouldn't feel anxious around her? Tira is... a rather intense individual. Though Pyrrha truly does appreciate the other woman's continued company, it's also a bit nerve-wracking when Tira's mood is constantly changing with every passing moment.]
[But is there another reason for that anxiousness..? Could it... could it possibly have something to do with....]
[-No- no... it can't. It can't be that. Ever since hearing that news, Pyrrha has been doing everything in her power to forget that she had ever been told such a devastating thing. That was a mistake. This is... something different. It has to be something different.]
[Pyrrha shakes her head, as if to clear it. She shouldn't be thinking about such horrible things. But as she briefly looks over to Nero's serious expression, Pyrrha has to wonder... if he feels it too. Her eyes briefly glance over at his bandaged arm. She stared at it for a long moment, before once again forcing herself to look away.]
[...This is all just... too much to be focusing on right now. As her mild anxiety slowly builds, Pyrrha silently eats her own food whilst thinking about a way to try and break this awful tension.]
[A pause.] So...
Do you... like it..?
no subject
It's good, you're not a bad cook.
[He looks up at her now, thoughtful.]
So, are you from around Fortuna?
no subject
[The girl continues eating her own food.] Mm?
[She chews, then swallows a bit.] Fortuna...? I've never heard of it.
[A pause.] I'm not really... 'from' anywhere. -But my earliest memories are from Athens, I think...

[He shrugs, moving on to the next portion of his meal. Nero was just about done now, and he was still eating just as fast!]
I guess it doesn't matter. All that matters now is getting out of this hellhole.
no subject
[Pyrrha is certainly not finished with her own meal just yet; purposefully pacing herself despite her hunger. It'd be far too embarrassing for her to eat too fast in front of someone else. She doesn't want to look greedy, after all. Most Grecians pride themselves on being able to control themselves and their food portions when it comes to such situations.]
[...Though Nero doesn't exactly seem to mind scarfing down his food rather quickly. It was a bit bewildering to witness, actually...]
[Blinking.] ...Do you really think that it's so bad here..?
