In the depths of the darkness, a presence stirred. The light echo of footsteps drew across a cobblestone walkway that moved steadily closer to the front of the school grounds. While he'd previously awoken in the empty clinic he'd immediately gone outside, wanting to take a better look at where he'd woken up. Judging from his powerful frame and the combat utility belt he sported along with the large sword strapped to his back, half revealed from his faded black long coat, it was safe to say he was no mere ordinary man.

Before long, a mysterious sparkle began to reflect from the surface of the dark blue pendant shining from the breast of the very person it belonged to, a wide-brimmed traveler's hat drawn low over his eyes making it difficult to see his face all that well. The pendant ranked a distant second to the hauntingly, if not unnaturally beautiful visage that showed briefly below the traveler’s hat. Below the scarf wrapped about his visage that he drew down over his nose there was thick, masculine eyebrows, the smooth bridge of a nose, and tightly drawn lips that manifested the iron strength of his will. Set amid stern features shared only by those who had survived the numerous battles of a grief-ridden world, his eyes harbored sorrow even as they sparkled.

Just then, D peered at the sprawling building with interest. This wasn't the Capital or even the Frontier, by any means. And yet, even he could sense something eerie about this place. There was a kind of distortion that meant there was more to this than met the eye.

"This doesn't look good," a disembodied voice said.

"Quiet."

"Come on, you said you wouldn't let it come to this again…Remember what happened last time when you went looking for trouble?"

"I said quiet," D snapped, making a ball of his fist and then he touched the smooth stone of the outdoor wall with the same hand. "Inside, how many?" "Too many, if you ask me," the voice muttered. "I can't get a good feel for it. There's something strange about all this."

D frowned. He didn't like the feeling behind it either, but there was no way to tell unless he moved indoors. Enclosed spaces where there could be a possible trap didn't bode well for the strange traveler, but he soon did just that.
