"Eh?" Ryou had often found himself stranded in strange places, thanks to that pesky spirit. But that other half was gone now, leaving only the scars in his mind. Yet here he was, standing clueless in the hallway of a school he didn't recognize. He wasn't even in his school uniform, instead in his blue collared shirt over jeans and a blue and white striped t-shirt. He even had his deck in his hand. He had been busy dueling but it seemed that wasn't going to happen anymore. So much for that game. At least it was a friendly match (well as friendly as Ryou's deck ever got) and not a tournament.

"Um, excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"

[ open to prose or action tags :D. It's just Ryou, plain old Ryou, post-original series manga. ]

[To say that Eleanor had been overjoyed on discovering a vending machine that dispensed Duel Monsters cards would be an understatement. The decks that she and Harriet sported were really only set up for dueling as the Rose Duelists, and England's war-dueling rules were quite a bit different from modern day ones, which made the deck pretty much worthless in an actual, modern duel. To have the ability to build a proper modern deck was fantastic, especially since it meant that they could duel for fun again, rather than having to mentally drain themselves commanding real creatures and possibly seriously injuring their opponent.

Of course, there was luck involved. The machine would only give four packs per person per day, and with 10 cards a pack, that meant that you had to deal with what you got until you could get more. But the thing about all luck-based rolls, as Eleanor knew, was that there were multiple ways to tip the board to make luck favor you. One of those was numbers, and numbers they had.

Her. Harriet. Henry. Rosenkreuz.

Four of them each with their four draws per day. That was 40 cards apiece, for a total of 160 cards per day that they could all mix and match around to make a proper deck. And since she had made sure to take them there yesterday once she had verified it, they had two days worth of cards under their belt now.

Which is why said cards are now a mix of stacked and spread out in the middle of the table in their dining area, with each of them sitting around it to pluck cards and make suggestions for each other. The door's been left somewhat open, so while it's hard to see in, their voices still float out.]

[There's a shadow passing over the campus today. It's not a bird, nor a plane, nor Superman (which is good, because he's a jerk). Instead, it's a very familiar large, white-scaled dragon that, for some reason, seemed to find the skyways of the Campus a good place to be.

Of course, anyone who watches it can see it might not have entirely been the dragon's decision. From the way it's wobbling in the air, it appears to be hurt -- which is only reinforced as the beast's wings finally crumple, sending it crashing somewhere in the forest.

In the forest, there's a long path of crushed trees and vegetation, with what looks and smells strongly of blood along it...]

[Hey.

So...

The roof is on fire.

Nero might have accidentally tested out his sword on one of the AC units while revving it, and...

Well, long story short, but Nero set the roof on fire.]
