Duel 002: Peaceful Days! The Fluffiest Training Montage Commences

[It's a bit of a pain, being in a school with no teachers.

Ryou Bakura isn't the type of kid who really likes being too active; he's about on the level of most ordinary teenagers. But after being laid up for so long with the burns to his arms and leg, not only is he extremely restless, but he's sure even his metabolism won't hold up much longer, with the amount he eats. That's why, after checking to see that Henry isn't home to take him up on that training offer, he's decided to try treating this like school and taking an hour or so to do his very own gym class, all by himself. It'd be easier with teachers, but... he doesn't have a choice right now.

Most kids probably would just take the break and be lazy, but right now, Ryou's working hard. Apart from the occasional break, he can be found pretty easily in the east wing, dressed in gym clothes and doing everything from running laps on the track field to climbing ropes.

...though that last one is more like 'falling off ropes'. Stupid mats... they don't cushion that fall at all. Hopefully nobody's dumb enough to stand below him.]

Ow...

[Time for a banana and some water, he thinks.]

[Following his gaze, Ryou grins a little.]

I'm thinking pink. Also we should get a little sign on one of the beds with his name and make it as fluffy and cute as possible.

Pink? [His eyes turn back towards Ryou, not quite understanding.] Why pink?

[All things considered, before he went to Japan...he was mostly used to seeing various shades of brown, black, gold, and purple. With some teal and blue thrown in.

On top of all that, he was quite fond of lavender.]

[Ryou grins a little, before deciding to fill him in.]

See, people associate 'pink' with 'girl', these days. I don't think it's all that old a tradition, but it's pretty common now. 'Bright and pink' usually means 'girl'. While 'somber and blue' means 'boy'. So people get really riled up about pink being girlish.

[Hearing this concept for the first time, even if he had seen glimpses of it in Japan, was pretty disorientating.]

...But what about all the other colors?

They don't really have genders at all! It's weird, but it's just those two. Though things leaning closer to either side tend to get the same reputation sometimes. Like how people think a man has to be gay to wear lavender!

...That seems trivial. I don't get what color has to do with anything like that.

[Although, speaking of the color of his vest, he does glance down at it.] I just like lavender.

[Malik waves a hand, dismissing the matter. It didn't really bother him either way.]

It's fine. Anyway...I had a better idea! [And if that grin has anything to say about it...it's an awful one!]

[That grin sends a chill down his spine and he smiles.]

...eh? What is it?

He didn't seem so keen on getting a haircut the last time I mentioned it...keh keh keh.

[Malik pulls out the Rod and unsheathes the blade beneath.]

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

[Nope, backing up to the fridge right now.]

Put that away, Malik-kun! I'll let him out if you try it!

Oh come on! [He exasperates, dropping the Rod back to his side and rolling his eyes.]

Not you too! Think of how mad he'll be...it'll be funny.

[Malik's not intimidated, and he's really not even noticing the threat as he simply sheathes the Rod and hooks it back on his belt.

At worst, he's looking mildly irritated by having his fun cut short. Unlike Bakura's hair.]

[His lips twitch into a smile as in one smooth movement, he tugs the Rod from Malik's belt.]

[Shoving the Rod into the coldest part of the freezer, nestled in amongst the ice-]

GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Suffer in despair, traitor!

[SLAM! And just to make sure the soul fragment can't muster the strength, he's going to use some cutlery to jam the handle. And also pull the table in front of it.

He crumples to the floor at Bakura's feet.]

[A door slams, and then there's silence...]
