CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

Yeah... I agree. The other me and I don't like it either, but he and Malik-kun won't try the caves. I guess it's harder to run if you're blocked in, and it's kind of an obvious place to hide. That's why we were looking around, after all.

I understand. If Bakura-kun tells me where they're hiding once he finds it, or if I can help him find it, I'm going to try to hunt for them, too. Bakura-kun seems to know how to handle fur, so there's that!

Well, sure. I don't really know how to do much of anything with animals, especially not make blankets or anything I could need, so I figure, if you're going to help me with that, I can make sure you and Malik get food and fur too!

Though I guess Malik would be easy to get food for... just grab everything off the trees, right?

Ehehe... Malik-kun really is a picky eater, so I don't think he'd be too happy with the meat part. But I don't think even he'd turn down fur blankets. He's wearing shorts, after all, so he's gotta be pretty cold.

Who knows? If this keeps up, the two of us could go into business making things like that for people, haha!

[That gets her laughing, running a hand through her hair.]

What, once we get out of here, you mean? Or just around here? What could they even give us for it here in Campus?

Who knows? Maybe it'd just be a way of earning their appreciation enough to stop people being assholes. Or maybe we'd magically find someone with the skills and tools to build a new building!

Well, that'd be a nice coincidence, if we could! ...And I guess doing something like that with something like this happening would get a lot of people indebted to us...

[Maybe they would stop being assholes, after all. She drums her fingers on her lips.]

All right. I'll try catching whatever I can once everyone's settled and sleeping later on today. But we should find somewhere for you and Malik before that, shouldn't we?

Ah, yeah. That's the best plan, for the moment. We need to find somewhere that's not easy to get to, but isn't too obvious. Possibly somewhere we can block off at least one direction.

Hm... I remember there was a place I found while wandering around before, kind of against a cliffside. I don't know if it would work, but I can show you where it was?

[He looks at Ryou, who grins sheepishly and floats over to him as he gets up.]

Right! It was over this way. Kind of a walk, but like I said, probably not a good idea to fly there.

[Ryou looks at her curiously, having missed that part of the conversation - or at least not taken much note of it.]

[Whoops. Well, if he's Bakura, and a ghost that only hangs around Bakura, there's no harm in telling.]

Well, I'm a dragon, Ryou-kun. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Eh, really-?!

[Wow, the Blue Eyes and the Black Magician... He hoped they didn't fight or anything.]

Wow... that's really cool!

You think so? It feels like it's just trouble, lately...

[He rests a hand on her shoulder, even if she can't feel it.]

Now, now... It's always like that with weird powers, you know? It's scary, but if you hide away from it, it'll feel like a shadow hovering over you.

[moderndaydragon]

Well, it's kind of hard not to here. There's not a lot of space and I don't want to hurt anyone. But that's why Bakura-kun is such a good friend of mine... he doesn't care about that part. He isn't afraid of it.

But, see, that's part of the hiding away. If you're always worrying about hurting other people, it'll give that fear strength.

[He scolds her lightly, before patting her on the shoulder again and floating back.]

It's like with any skill! If you keep thinking of how you might mess up with it, you're going to mess up and you're going to feel guiltier for it. It's better to just keep trying until you can control it entirely.

[Did... she really just get scolded by a ghost? She blinks a little, looking at Bakura confusedly as if she's not sure what to think about that.

...Ah, but...]

I guess you're right... Bakura-kun, you can help me with that, at least... can't you?

[Bakura just looks amused. Oh, Ryou... you're the only person he knows who would scold a dragon.]

Yeah, I can. If we can get your dragon form and your human form in sync, so to speak, it shouldn't be too difficult to keep control over it.

[moderndaydragon]

"In sync?" What do you mean?

Your dragon form drops into instinct too easily, right? That's why you were scared. But instincts can be un-learnt, so to speak. If we can get your dragon form used to thinking like the normal you, then it might be able to undo those defensive traits.
