CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

[She sits up, rubbing her face and sighing.]

What I was trying to say was that you can't ride on me if I'm going flying. I haven't gotten a feel for people sitting on my back, so you could slip off and fall and I wouldn't notice. The only time I've ever flown with someone, I carried them in my hand so that I knew they wouldn't fall.

Is that it? [That was an actual concern, although Bakura didn't show it, and he even spoke condescendingly.] If you're so worried, then the most we need is something to fasten around my waist and your neck.

That's it, yes. If you can find a rope or something to fix that, then there's no problem with you riding there. Hell, I'd like to be able to carry people like Kai and Bakura-kun around on my back; I'm sure they'd love it.

Bakura...? Heh... Same name as me! [Well, it looks like his Akh had already found this little gem before him. Unless she was referring to his misused Ba...

For now, he'll let that comment slide. He'll bring it up with his Akh later, or Karasu herself. For now it might be a bad idea to reveal they were one in the same before he knows the nature of her relationship with his other self.]

What are you, a children's toy?! You don't take people for rides, like some docile pet!

[She sighs, running a hand through her hair out of habit to test it for tangles while they talked.]

I do take people I end up liking for rides if I want to. Kai and Bakura-kun are people I like, so I'd take them around as much as I wanted.

[Bakura starts to untie the sash from his robes, those red-and-gold tinted fibers falling open to reveal his chest as he does.]

Tch...such a mighty Ka put to such trivial use. Anyway, my sash should do. Hurry up and revert!

[She has to resist the urge to tilt her head and take a look -- shut up, she's human, at least partly! -- and just shakes her hair out, moving away a little bit to breathe out and let the change come back over her again.

Still... "mighty ka"? That'd be flattering, almost, if she wasn't suspicious of him being sarcastic.]

Good... [Once she's transformed, Bakura climbs back up onto her back and sits between her shoulder blades. Pulling the sash off completely now he loops it around her neck and then draws it over his waist, trying it tightly in a knot at his side.

It likely wouldn't stop him from falling if he fell clean off, but it should keep him steady. It was a placebo for her more than anything.

Hooking his legs under her much larger ones, he pats her neck.]

[She glances back at him, examining it a bit warily. But... well, hopefully it'd be enough. He seemed comfortable with it, at least, so she might as well go along with it.

Shifting her stance a little, she opens her wings, stretching them out a little before giving a strong flap, sending them straight up into the air. It takes her a moment to actually manage to get control, but once she does, she's off, gliding around the island high enough that she's clear of the forest.]

[As soon as they go up, Bakura fumbles slightly, arching forward to wrap his arms around her neck as a means to further steady himself. It didn't help that she didn't have control right away.

But once they're up and steady, he issues his first command.]

Take a few laps around! And make sure you cover the whole island, I want to see who's around!

[What is she, a mount? She gives a draconic sigh, but does as instructed, lazily circling around the island. It's a small one, so with her size, it doesn't take too long to do them, though they do garner some attention from those down below.]

H-heh heh... [As they pass by, he notices a familiar head of hair. His Ba by the stream with a darker boy. That must be the Egyptian his Akh was telling about...that tool with the Millennium Rod!

Whatever they're doing, he best not interrupt them. As Karasu flies on, Bakura points to an open piece of land near the cliffside.]

Alright, that's enough! Let's land there.

[moderndaydragon]

[Malik and Bakura... her eyes linger on the latter before she turns to look at the cliff itself, nodding a little. At least landing is simple enough -- a quick cup of her wings and they're back on solid ground, claws digging into the dirt as she turns to look at him.]

[Safely on land once more, Bakura unties himself and slips off Karasu, landing on his own two feet.]

Not bad... I've always wanted to fly! [So thanks for being a docile toy for him!]

[She nods a little, laying down and letting her wings rest on her back again. She didn't actually mind that one... if she got used to that, then she could more easily carry around everyone else.

Still... her gaze turns to the direction they left the other Bakura in, laying her head on her tail again.]

[Bakura allows Karasu to rest a moment, wandering away from her as he simultaneously ties his sash back around his waist. He heads into the forest, staying just at the edge and comes back a few minutes later with some berries and a couple other fruits he found lying around.

With surprising contentedness, he flops down besides Karasu's form and begins wiping his food off on the inside of his robe to clean it of dirt and debris.]

[She glances at him, then gives a little sigh. She's going to be starving once they're done here... maybe she should go find a couple bears or something for when that does come around.

Seemingly deciding, she gets to her feet, turning to try and slip into the forest carefully. It's going to be ten times harder than a cave, but at least she can see. Hope you don't mind hanging around alone for a while, there, Bakura!]

[Bakura bristles when he sees her leaving, less out of some trivial fear of loneliness (although he did have that, he was less used to being alone than one might think) than of wondering where the fuck she was going, he didn't say she could leave.]

You better be taking a piss break, because I'm not done with you yet!

[She turns her head, opening her mouth and pointing in to indicate "hungry." At least that's an old enough gesture that she hopes he can still recognize it.]

[Bakura seems to understand the gesture, wry as his expression may be, because he turns back to his food and continues cleaning.]

[Good.

It takes about half an hour, but when Karasu comes back, she comes back with... quite a meal, dumping the bodies over off near the cliffside to get them out of the way and looking back at Bakura, sitting down for the moment to wrap her tail around her legs.]

[Bakura had already finished his snack by now, but when Karasu returns he can't help but stalk over, licking his lips at the sight of something bloody and red.]

Who knew there were even that many animals on this island! H-hahaha! [He gives one of the bodies a kick with the sole of his foot.]

I'll have to build another fire--or no, wait. I should see if you remember what I taught you the last time!

[She reaches a claw into the forest, dragging out a good hunk of the ground along with whatever branches and brambles had gotten caught into it. Good enough for now, at least!

That done, she reverts, going about setting up the fire and trying not to look at the bodies herself. Mostly because, if she did, she might just end up trying to tear into them as is, though the fact that her tongue keeps flicking over those pronounced canines of hers does give some of it away.]

[While Karasu does the dirty work, Bakura has the job of sitting down one the dead animals and looking arrogant as he watches.

He'd taught her the bow method of lighting a fire...it took a bit more time to set up, but it was faster than the tireless persistence needed in the bowless method.]

[And thankfully, with some more painful plucking, the fire is going before too awful long. She can be taught!]
