[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!
[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.
Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!
Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

...Ah- You're talking about Yugi and the others, right? That's right... you don't know.
[Folding his arms over his chest, he leans against the wall.]
I got a few of my memories back, a while ago. It's probably the effect of that Millennium Puzzle. I'm not planning to take it from him any more. On top of that, I haven't been 'paying rent' since then, either, so there's not too much that he can protest about.
no subject
He really shouldn't be so fast to judge...people change, right? He felt guilty for that.]
You...aren't? I, I guess it's not so bad then. [He brings a hand up to his chest.] As long as you don't get Aniki into trouble, or take over too much...
[Ryou remembered something suddenly, backtracking on his previous guilt and looking at the spirit with meek defiance. As if he wasn't quite sure what to feel.]
But he told me that he woke up with a knife wound, in the hospital! And that he's got a lot of gaps in his memory... You can't control him that much, it's not fair!

Didn't he tell you about our agreement? I'm not controlling him that much anymore. The only time I've reneged on that agreement was when he was sick, about a week ago. I was in too bad of a state to remember to wake him up.
As to the hospital thing... that was a pain. Do you know how boring hospitals are? Especially when you only have an annoying old man for company. He should have slept right through it.
...and if he told you about the duel, that wasn't me. An idiot I know forced me out of control.
no subject
[It makes him a little irritated.]
Anyway, don't worry about that. Ryou was fine, wasn't he?
no subject
I guess...things could be worse. As long as Aniki still gets to come out, the most I can do for him is not give into the Ring myself, when the time comes.
...Sorry. [He settles the spirit with a determined, but somehow sympathetic look. Ryou wanted his freedom, even if it meant this guy couldn't escape the confines of the Ring. Did that make him...selfish? It was his body... At the very least, he'd try to talk to the spirit. Maybe that would ease his boredom?
Ryou felt guilty already.]

[He sounded amicable enough at least. The words had no bite behind them at all.]
There's no need to apologize for trying to stand on your feet. If you find a way to get by without my help, I'll... probably be annoyed, that past me, but that's his problem.
[He'll always find another way.]
I'm used to waiting, after all. Eventually, the Ring will pass to someone else, if you never give in to it.
no subject
[This guy...didn't make a lot of sense. Maybe he just had no hope in his ability to resist. Maybe he was just being honest...
Maybe he really didn't care if he had to wait.]
I'd thank you, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate...
no subject
[As you know well.]
It's not really appropriate. You still have to earn that right with the past me. But someone with the strength to risk their soul against me... heh. That doesn't come along often. Who knows? You might actually manage it.
[Like hell.]
no subject
I'll just have to wait for that time, for whenever "Duelist Kingdom" happens... [He closes his eyes, nodding firmly.] I'll prove myself then.
no subject
[But it won't be over with just one time. He trusted in himself. No matter how strong Ryou's will got... he'd be worn down over and over again.]
Speaking of which... do you always carry that bag with you?

[Ryou seems reluctant to admit it. He felt attached to the Ring, he didn't want to let it go...]
no subject
I guess it was a treasured gift, after all. It's only natural.
no subject
[Not just that. It was the only constant in his life. When his friends left and he had to change schools--ironically because of it--and his father was in Egypt, and he was all alone in the silence of his apartment...
At least he had the Ring, and at the time, its inexplicable presence. It'd been more than just an object to him. It was like a good luck charm, or a security blanket.
...Too bad it had turned out to be none of those things. It was an omen, if anything.]
no subject
[He folded his arms over his chest again, looking thoughtful.]
no subject
[His father had bought it for him, sure, but the man hadn't even noticed the thing until Ryou toted it over with a smile and lots of questions.
Still, how could the spirit have possibly arranged that? And why would he assume his father would take it?]
no subject
[That was interesting. Could it be that this was a different 'offshoot'? An alternate reality? ...pft, surely not. That sort of thing only happened in anime and video games.]
no subject
[He awkwardly rubs the back of his head, trying to smile.]
Because I'm pretty sure I got it in a pawn shop in Domino City.
no subject
[He sounds more bemused than anything, though he does manage a slight chuckle. Circling around Ryou, he looks him over suspiciously. There are differences, sure... but there's too many similarities, too. This is definitely Ryou Bakura.]
It's not possible... is it?
no subject
Um...well, I definitely know how I got the Ring.
no subject
What sorcery was this? He'd suspected contact lenses, but there clearly wasn't any contacts in Ryou's eyes. He had green eyes.]
Ryou-kun, be a dear and tell me what eye colour I have.

[Letting go of him, he stares at Ryou with a curious air about him.]
Interesting... I really don't know what the hell is going on, but it's interesting. Like something out of a science fiction novel.
