CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: SNOWED IN

[Early morning on the 15th, the building is deathly chilly as well as unusually dark. Even with the heat on people will find themselves wandering the halls and shivering, their breath fogging up in front of them. Anybody foolish enough to try and leave the building will find that the door simply won't budge due to the amount of snow piled against it, and any attempts to exit (or look) through the windows will greet them with a daunting wall of white. Even the courtyard is inaccessible, as is the door leading up to the rooftop.

Outside on the island, it seems a heavy snow storm has blanketed everything in a thick layer of white.]

((ooc: The event will last 7 days, with the first 4 being snowed-in, the 5th being a blizzard, the 6th another snow-in day, and the 7th having the snow melting. A post will be made on the 19th and 21st respectively. You can see the conditions here, and on the weekly weather sticky:

[Leather jackets were pretty warm, but this weather was pushing it. Spotting that ball of flame though, he's curious, but not enough to actually ask. By now he's gotten his teeth-chattering down to a minimum anyway.

Besides he could always summon Laval Golem. Although he might have to stand a bit of a way from it.]

I have a feeling the other side won't be mu-much better. [He says flatly, glancing over at the nearby window and silently cursing the stutter that escaped.]

It was clear yesterday. How can it snow that much in o-one night?

Probably not. [He should go look anyway, right? Maybe. At the stutter, Kai sighs inwardly. Can't he just let him freeze? He shakes his head and splits the flame, holding one out toward Malik.]

It won't burn you. [Unless he wants it to, but he'll just...not say that.] Magic. So how come you and Bakura aren't busy keeping each other warm? [But he can say that. Brilliant.]

[Malik was still debating accepting that ball of flame when Kai had to go and open his big mouth again. He just stares intensely at the boy.]

What the hell is that supposed to mean? [Is it an innocent question, or some petty jab.]

[Kai just stands there with his hand still extended, innocence personified. What? Can't you see his shiny halo, Malik? He just reapplied the glitter yesterday!]

Well, if I had someone special, I'd be spending a day like this tangled up with them in a mound of blankets. [Oh Light. Half the time he can't think about Karasu without blushing, yet he's being a smart ass about this.]

Do you want the fire or not?

... [That really doesn't sound much different than his and Bakura's usual sleeping habits, and while it sounds nice Malik has other things he wants to do right now.]

That's what you'd do. S-since when was that ever a basis for what I'd do? [He eyes the fireball again and then waves at it dismissively.]

I don't need it.

It's not. I just took you for a guy that likes cuddling your boyfriend, that's all. [Kai, shut up. He at least manages to keep the smirk off his face, merging the flame again when Malik turns it down.]

Eh, whatever you want. Have you checked the door to the roof yet? Maybe it'll open. [Yes, flee Malik. Flee. Before Kai starts laughing and gets himself into more trouble.]

...You should stop talking while you're ahead. [He was a guy that likes cuddling with his boyfriend.]

Feh, why would the roof be any better? The snow will build up there just the same. What a foolish ideas.

[You mean he hasn't finished digging his grave yet? That's a relief. Kai wraps his fingers around the flame to warm them, answering the other boy's question with a shrug. You did say he should stop talking, Malik. He's even managing to keep a straight face.]

... [Well then, he'll just take his frustrated, irate leave as he shoots Kai one last leer. Too bad, Kai! Malik was actually intending on being decent conversation.]

[Kai sighs as he goes; he'll end up regretting this whole thing later, no doubt. In the meantime, he might as well go stock up on some candy before heading back to his room. Last thing he needs is Surge getting bored enough to tear something up.]
