Two for one special! [Dark & Yugi]

[With an arcade room in the Campus now, there's no way Yugi wouldn't be there. He's a little late, maybe, but he's definitely set up shop there for today, occasionally moving from game to game once he's finished playing the one he was at before.

Of course, being Yugi, there's no way he'd keep this all to himself, which means he and his other self are swapping control every so often, making finding either of them just a matter of waiting... or coming into the arcade at the right time.]

((OOC: Since I didn't want to make two posts but wanted to play them both, here's a choice for you! You can either specify which of the Yugis you want to meet (the normal one or his "other personality," Dark), or you can just leave it up to me to pick! Just remember that Dark... doesn't take kindly to people who try to actually hurt Yugi, or himself.))

[Okay, Yugi's gotten completely distracted from the game now thanks to that. Wait a minute... could this be...?]

...Jounouchi-kun?

[His voice is hesitant, but more in a way of disbelief than anything.]

[A bit more cheerful now for seeing Yugi, he goes over to him.]

The one and only! Who else would it be? You didn't get a concussion from that asshole beating you up, did you?

[Sorry, Jou, but Yugi's nearly falling off the chair to latch to your leg now. It's not the most manly thing but right now he doesn't care. He really doesn't.]

Jounouchi-kun!

[Brb crying a bit.]

Eh-?!

[That kind of reaction... Did something happen while he was out? Did someone do something to Yugi?]

Oi, Yugi... What's the matter?

You're actually here...

[Yes and yes, but probably neither of which you'd expect. And the latter he's not going to exactly be forthcoming with.]

I'm so glad to see you!

...eh? I just saw you a little while ago...

[Unless he was out longer than he thought. Well, it's Yugi, so he won't push him away or anything. Instead, he rests his hands on the smaller boy's shoulders.]

[Right... right. He understands. Yugi takes a breath and finally detaches himself, drying his face off on his sleeve.]

You... just got here, right?

Yeah, I woke up a little while ago. I saw that whiteboard thing but it didn't really make much sense to me.

[Really, all that stuff about magic and giant fire rooster gave him the chills. Ugh, he hoped it wasn't real.]

[Phoo. How can he explain this?]

This place is... really weird. It's a completely different world than where we came from, and everyone here was kidnapped somehow from theirs. I've been here for... about five months now.

[His hand unconsciously goes to rub at his arm where the scar was left by Bakura. Five months, and not all of them really good.]

[Huh... that was an odd gesture. But whatever he was about to say in regards to it simply flies out of the window in the wake of the bombshell that Yugi just dropped.

Five months?!

And multiple worlds?!]

Er... Yugi, you didn't hit your head or anything, right?

No, I didn't. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. You can ask anyone else here and they'll tell you the same thing.

We can't get off the island either, and the lady who brought us here won't tell us anything about why or how to go home.

[Look at that face, Jou. Can you really disbelieve that face?]

... [It's a crazy story, but he can't disbelieve that face. After all, they've been pretty much kidnapped and dumped in a strange place with no explanation why or how. And seeing Yugi look so down bugs him.]

Ah, well, it sounds kind of insane, but I guess I can believe you. But cheer up! I'm here now, after all!

[That gets a smile out of him, and he nods a bit firmly. He can't stay upset! Jounouchi's actually here!]

Right! We're here together now!

[And that's actually nice of this place. He'll take it, so happily.]

So let's play, Jounouchi-kun!

Yeah, I'm down with that.

[Well, why not? If they're stuck here for a while, why worry? It's not like there's anyone at home waiting for him.

And if he hadn't noticed Yugi's absence, then surely, when they left this place, nobody else would have noticed his, either? Eh, all of this stuff was giving him a headache. He'll just grab a seat and join in.]

[Yugi is definitely not going to be down for a while, if nothing else. It's almost like he's been given the arcade, with how happy he's acting now. And why not? His best friend is actually here now!]

I've actually learned how to use some magic, too.

[It's kind of a non-sequitur, but hey, it's not like he can keep that to himself.]

The Black Magician is actually real, too! He said his name was Mahad, and he was teaching me for a while.

...magic?

[Ack... that's kind of weird. But this is Yugi, so unless he's been taken over by something, he's not going to use it for ill.]

What kind of magic?

I can summon duel monsters from their cards! Well, if they're not too strong... I'm still working on that part. And I can use a spell called Afterworld Warp, too.

And...

[Yugi releases the game for a moment, manifesting a small ball of shadow magic flicker between his hands.]

This!

Gyah-!

[He backpedals at the sudden ball of demonic power holy shit-

No, wait, it wasn't doing any harm. Curiously, he reaches out to poke it.]

Whoa.

[It dissipates when poked, Yugi wiping his hands on his pants. Still kind of weird feeling, doing that...]

It doesn't actually hurt anything. I've just been practicing with it so I can get better at using anything that needs a lot of energy.

...

[Well, it's Yugi. He's harmless.]

Heh! Look at you! You'll not need us to look out for you before long!

Heheh... maybe I can protect you!

[His hand drifts to his pocket at that thought, where Slifer's card is currently resting. He still doesn't have the strength to summon it yet, but... maybe...]

...

[That's a pretty eerie thought, Yugi.]

I don't think we need to go that far.

Ah... I guess so.

[Though with how much Jounouchi gets hurt, especially because of him... it would've been nice to be able to pay him back sometimes.]

...what's with that face? I'm a man, Yugi! I can't be expected to be overjoyed at the idea of being protected!

[Lifting a hand, he holds it out.]

But being able to stand on equal ground... I'd like that much better.

[...Right. That was silly of him to think like that!

Yugi smiles brightly, nodding and grabbing Jounouchi's hand as firmly as he can manage. It's not anywhere near the strength the other teen can make... but it's definitely stronger than before.]

Right! We can just stand together like that!
