CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED

[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]

[Translation: Well...this is going to put a damper on our studies, now isn't it?]

((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.

For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P

If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.

[Whether it was an unexplained force that suddenly pulled this doll here, or it was of her own accord to come to this place was not certain. Though there was a slight inkling at the back of Violette's mind that it'd be harder to return to her home, the chances of a roman (story) being here were greater and she had to keep up her duty of finding it for Hiver, after all.

She's taken to simply walking in the halls for now, but if you catch her at the right time, she might be seen floating around.]

[Violette suddenly stops in her tracks as she looks up towards him. Obviously she doesn't understand what he's said, but it'll get a slight head-tilt from her.]

[Since he has no idea what she's saying, he just grins and brings his hands up in a exaggerated shrug. He shakes his head casually with it.]

Not that it stops Violette;she glances at his coat and her eyes immediately light up in curiosity, so she points at it.]

...? [Bakura lifts up the hem of his robe, shooting her a quizzical look. He think he understands by the look in her eyes, but part of him wonders if she's asking for it rather than about it.

Luckily he has a notepad he swiped earlier after finding it useful with Karasu, so he digs that out of a pouch hidden under his robe and hands it to her along with a pen.]

[It takes her a moment to realize, and she takes them whilst giving a nod of thanks.

It doesn't take her too long to scribble it out before turning it forward. The drawings are pretty crude, but still clear. Or well, as clear as she could get, anyway- there's an arrow pointing towards the robe and beside it was a book with the word "Roman?" on it.]

[Bakura scrutinizes the drawing for a bit.

Robe...book? Book and robe? Does she want a book about robes? She can help herself if she does, he's not finding her anything. Stupid needy children. He draws on the notepad himself and then shows it to her.



To help explain, he traces his finger from roughly where they were up to the corner where he knew there was a library amongst the dorm rooms (and also where he'd drawn the book).]

[...that looks nothing like a story. Violette gets the feelings she probably missed, so she shakes her head.]

Ah- non, monsieur... [[Ah- no, sir...]]

[She starts to draw again, and flips it to him again. The robe's still there (with an added drawing of Bakura's head), but this time, the book's crossed out and is replaced with a picture book, along with the word "histoire?" under it.]

Dunno how your character draws, so I left the image out this time haha

[He's not sure he gets it, but he'll take the paper and try to add what he can to it anyway. Instead of drawing his own thing, he adds on to her's and then hands it back.

...He drew the rest of the body in the usual Egyptian style.]
