CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED

[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]

[Translation: Well...this is going to put a damper on our studies, now isn't it?]

((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.

For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P

If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.

[Kai's expression gets that first idea across to her and her eyes widen, shaking her head back and forth. She erases the bedroom, then just draws the layout of the dorm crudely before reconnecting the arrows.]

Hai, onaji heya ni ori masu.
(Yes, we're in the same room.)

[She gives a bit of a weak smile, shrugging some. It would take more than they could do now for her to explain it.]

[Oh thank everything ever it's not that first one. A laugh escapes him as she redoes the drawing, and he falls back against the couch.]

How did that even- yeah, forget it. When everything makes sense again, I'll ask.

[Now he's not sure if he wants that to be soon or not. Ugh. Kai reaches over and tousles her hair at the smile. Aw, he can't tell her he's finally trusting someone to not shank him in his sleep, either. Aside from her, anyway.]

[The ruffle surprises her, and she giggles a little again, relaxing a bit more. Shifting in her seat, she leans her side against Kai, closing her eyes a little and sighing.

All of this is just so draining... she feels tired.]

[At least they don't need words for this. Kai wraps an arm around Karasu after she leans against him, hugging her a little. He can stick around for a while; he doesn't feel much like moving anyway.]

[She sighs a little, more in relief this time, and relaxes some against him. It's good they don't need words, since neither of them could offer it after all.

...she feels warm like this... strangely warm. But why...?]

If she falls asleep, he won't mind. He'd join her, but the last time he did that out in the open, it didn't pan out so well for him. Mostly. Kai half-grins and shifts enough to snuggle closer. Part of him wants to be embarrassed as hell, and the rest?

[It's just a whisper and he knows she won't understand, but he felt like saying it anyway.]

[Hm? Karasu opens her eyes a little, giving Kai a confused look. The inflection made it sound like something important, but -- as per usual -- she can't understand it.]

Nothing! [Cue the awkward smile and a shake of his head. Really, it's nothing to worry about. He's just being a sap, again.]

[She blinks a little, but smiles tiredly, just nodding some before she places her head back where it was, closing her eyes again.

Yeah... she just might fall asleep like this after all.]

[Really, one of these days he's going to drown in his own sap. Kai lets out a soft breath of relief and just relaxes. He'll sleep later; right now he'd rather keep watch over her.]
