CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED

[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]

((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.

For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P

If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.

[Bakura does move, in fact he jumps clean out of the way, landing a few feet back in the hall. He stands there, mockingly waiting for his Akh to get up.]

[That bastard... he's toying with him. Calm down, he warns himself, Don't let that recklessness take over. But it's one thing to think it and another entirely to do it. If his anger clouds him, he won't be able to think straight. He'll leave himself vulnerable. But even so...

That mocking smile pisses him off! Putting all of his unnatural speed into it, he hurls himself at the man, throwing a punch at his smug face.]

[He waits patiently, unflinching, and then he ducks, rounding around to his Akh's back so he can kick him in the back of the knees.]

[Shit-! His knees buckle and he falls, his momentum carrying him over as he rolls. Scrambling to his feet, he growls.]

Bastard...

[Yeah, he's outmatched. He's majorly outmatched. There's only one advantage he has over the thief king, and that's his energy levels. Then his strategy needs to change. Wear him down. But if the thief king is just letting him wear himself down like this... that's not going to be so easy.]

Come on, then! Unless you're having too much fun just standing there!

Actually... I was just waiting for you to land a blow~!

[He spreads his arms as if welcoming his Akh to attack.] You know...before I beat you into dust.

[Bakura's energetic response is surprisingly not angry. It even sounds amused. It's like the mocking threat just feeds his determination, and he doesn't hesitate any longer. Discarding his strategy of wearing the thief king down, he makes a decision. If the other Bakura wanted him to land a hit, he would~!

By paralysing him briefly and then rushing in to punch him.]

H-hahaha! [That's what he likes to see! Bakura planned on waiting again and the dodging...when he noticed his body was suddenly frozen.]

...?! [That bastard--...easily connects his next punch, but with the paralysis wearing off a split second later, Bakura just returns it.]

[An amused laugh follows, even as Bakura jerks back to dodge the worst of the impact. This time, he doesn't hesitate, bringing his foot up with the intent of driving it into the thief king's stomach.]

[Bakura jumps to the side and out of the way of that kick.]

Too slow! [Without missing a beat he then grabs his Akh's leg and yanks it forward, hoping to knock him on his ass.]

[Son of a-! The act throws him off balance and he hits the floor hard, briefly knocking the wind out of him.]

[Now that he's got his Akh just where he wants him...

Bakura sits on his stomach and crosses his legs.]

Oi-! What the hell do you think you're doing?!

[Flailing, he tries to squirm out or get him off or something.]

Winning. [He says simply, grinning like the smug bastard he is.]

[Grouchily:] I could just fucking stab you, you know.

So could I. [He pulls out his own dagger, just to price his point.]

[Is he supposed to be scared? He just glowers instead.]

[...He just keeps sitting with a big dumb grin on his face.]

[Goddamn pile of dumb muscle... Maybe he should just revert to Ryou and let him handle it.]

This is still a fight, you know--make me! [He lowers his voice, his tone darkening just to mock.] ...Or is this really all it takes to take you down?

[Something in his eyes darkens at those words. He needs to get stronger. More power. More of it. More, more, more more more-]

[He can't breathe. The thief king's weight is pressing down painfully on his stomach and his rage coupled with that is making it hard to think straight.

If this is a fight, then he's playing dirty too.]

[Bakura's expression turns sour at that, his nose wrinkling.]

That's low even for you, Akh... H-heh.

H-ha ha. H-HAHAHAHA! [He rolls off, because he's not risking his Akh pulling through on that threat.]

If you're going to be so petty, then fine! I'll humour your weak-host body with a "real" fight. I don't think my Ba will mind.

[Of course he will. Oh well.]
