CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED
[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]
Tja ... det här kommer att lägga sordin på våra studier, är nu inte det?
[Translation: Well...this is going to put a damper on our studies, now isn't it?]
((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.
For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P
If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.
If you have any questions, just head to the mod plurk or send this account a PM, but most importantly--have fun!))

no subject
Yeah, I'm talking about her. [She reiterates, mimicking his gesture and pointing at the intercom.]
no subject
He takes the notebook back to draw something else.]
no subject
no subject
H-heh heh heh... [At least a laugh was a laugh.]
no subject
[She then points from his drawing of stabbing the intercom to her drawing to indicate the progression of events.]
no subject
The only thing he does get is the scar, and when he sees it he looks back up at Sibyll, squinting and quit obviously lost.]
...?
no subject
no subject
Oh. [Right.
Bakura puts his knife away and takes the notebook back, looking at a loss. He looks back up at Sibyll sourly, but it's not really aimed at her so much as the situation.]
no subject
Smiling, she pulls out her pistol and points to the window and the outdoors with it. She mimics firing it outside at a passing bird, then holsters the gun. Next Sibyll points to Bakura's knife and does a stabbing motion, then points back towards the window.
If he picked up what she was saying, they could still have some fun. The hard part would be twisting his arm into getting him to clean anything they hunted.]
no subject
She wants to hunt. With him? Well, it's been awhile since he bothered to hunt anything, what with Karasu so generously providing him with free meals and board.
But there was nothing else to do, and there was definitely a certain fun to be had. So making up his mind, he nods and grabs his knife with a hungry, almost bloodthirsty smirk.]
no subject
Come on, let's have some fun.
no subject
no subject
What do you want to hunt? Birds or something that runs around on the ground?
[To complement her question, Sibyll makes a fluttering motion with her hands when she speaks of birds, and a walking motion when she mentions ground game.]
no subject
So with that in mind, he holds up two fingers.]
no subject
Shrugging off the miscommunication, she fishes out a pair of binoculars and deftly scales the nearest suitable tree. Once on a sturdy branch, she brings up the binoculars and begins to search the area for game.]
no subject
He follows her up the tree and eyes her binoculars suspiciously before trying to look at them for himself--wwith his hands, of course. He is a thief.]
no subject
[Sibyll bats at his hands. Finally, with a roll of her eyes, she passes him the binoculars, feeling a bit like a mother with a begging child.]
no subject
As soon as she hands them over he's quick to take them. Bakura peers through the eyeholes first, checking for any sort of bite-sized traps before tentatively pressing them to his eyes.]
...Huh.
[Looking around, it's hard to tell how confused he is without being able see the most of his expression. When he turns to look at Sibyll and gets a giant view of her teeth instead of a pretty face, he nearly falls off the branch.]
ظ иЇйиЙ╪з┘Д╪е╪?!
[What the fuck is this thing?!]
no subject
[Dark eyes going wide, she reaches out and grabs the binoculars, saving them from a fall. Sibyll doesn't expend the same effort to grab the Thief King. He's far easier to replace in this place.
Once he's regained his balance, Sibyll beings to attempt miming how the binoculars function. She points to them, then waves an arm, trying to point out something a long distance away. However she strongly suspects the gesture is futile.]
no subject
...Yeah, he's not getting the second part, but he does gesture to take the binoculars back.]
Hushda, sdhsi hsdha kgua.
[Okay, let me see them.]
