CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: JUNGLE FEVER

[Much like last time, the intercom buzzes to life in the middle of the night for only a moment. An annoyed sigh can be heard.]

Oh dear. That's not supposed to happen...

[That's the last thing everyone will hear during the night. But in the morning, they will find themselves surrounded by vegetation so thick it'd be almost impossible to tell that they're in a school if they didn't already know. Vines coming out of the floorboards and covering the walls/ceilings, exotic plants growing out of the walls. Not to mention the wildlife! Just about any animal you would imagine to be in a jungle, dangerous or not, can be found lurking in the school. But don't worry! Not every corner of the campus is infested with poisonous plants and carnivorous beasts. The cafeteria is one hundred percent clear. It seems that the lunch lady's awful cooking is doing some good at keeping the wildlife at bay. In fact, anything that starts to grow anywhere near to doors of the lunchroom dies off pretty quickly!

May want to steer clear of the auditorium, though. The vegetation there is the thickest...and most dangerous.]

((TIME FOR ANOTHER EVENT. Seeing as how this one went up a day late it'll go on until the 19th. Every area is covered in vines, flowers, and animals. Some are dangerous (plants included) and some are harmless -- I'll leave that up to player discretion on what's hanging around. As long as they're plants/animals that would normally be found in any kind of jungle. Remember: nothing too big, it has to fit in the campus! The air is also really humid and muggy. The auditorium will have the bulk of the dangerous animals/plants, and also the biggest!

Lisa the nurse will be around to heal wounds or any poison (the symptoms of the poisonous plants are up to you. It's not a mind altering poison or anything, though), but her office will still be filled with vines and small animals, nothing dangerous. And as mentioned above the cafeteria is all clear and Edna will be around cooking all her awful food. Have fun!))

[Had he time to feel a little guilty Pegasus might have at how much Ivan was straining but he managed to move a little and grab the branch, managing to pull himself up enough that at last the suction gave and he was able to escape the pit of sinking sand at last. With some effort he slowly pulled himself up all the way enough to swing one leg over and then seat himself on it, using his position to his advantage in order to help Ivan back up.

With some effort he wrenched the man up by his jacket, not ripping it but using his handle-hold enough to bring him upright.]

Well...that was something.

[Ivan lets out a heavy sigh of relief when Pegasus's weight is finally off him, giving him a moment to breath. Before he knows it though, he's suddenly being wrenched backwards. While Ivan jolts in surprise, he quickly figures out what's happening and allows himself to be pulled up, safely securing himself on top of the branch when he's done.

When he turns to look over at Pegasus, his face is still beet red with some sweat collected at his brow and running down his face; although to be fair, that was more due to the heat than the effort. Ivan pants a bit to catch his breath before speaking.]

Whatever...let's get down from here.

[He moves, scooting back down the branch towards the tree trunk.]

[His shoes were soggy with sand along with the lower half of his legs, which wasn't a comfortable feeling in the very least. However, he's inclined to agree with the man. Pegasus sighed and shimmied towards where Ivan was going, a little tired from the whole mess and less than amused about the whole jungle terrain inside of the college.]

Fine...

[He mumbled as he moved, waiting for Ivan to descend first.]

[Once Ivan's at the trunk, it's merely a matter of climbing back down the same way he'd gotten up. It takes him all of a minute before he's back on the ground, stepping about two feet back from the trunk as he waits for Pegasus with his somewhat impatiently hands at his hips.]

Alright, come on.

[As he moved down the tree he got about mid-way before his grip with his feet and arms started to slip, and he clung to the trunk to no avail, turning in such a way that as he fell he happened to descend face-first so that as he flailed comically for a moment he landed right on top of Ivan in an awkward position so that his mouth was incidentally covering his.

All in all it was a terrible accident waiting to happen, the tangle of limbs and muffled "oof" of having someone knock you down no doubt bad enough. The surprise kiss that was entirely not his fault just took the cake, however. Well, they didn't call it leaving someone breathless for nothing!]

Ah--! [Ivan sees Pegasus falling and flailing towards him, but it all happens so fast that before he has a chance to try and run out of the way--or catch the other man--he's already being used as a cushion to break his fall.]

[It takes a second to even register the fact he's suddenly lip-locked with the American, but even Ivan decides he'd rather kick the younger man off and sputter to catch his breath instead of enjoy the happy accident.]

Ghh...imbecile. [Ivan gasps, having had the wind knocked out of him as well as a few healthy bruises from the impact.]

It wasn't my fault!

[He sputtered himself as he was pushed off of the other man, feeling a little more than indignant at the rude commentary.]

Don't call me an imbecile..! It's not like I did it on purpose!

[Pegasus huffed and hurriedly got to his feet.]

[Ivan rubs his chest with a slight wince, still feeling a bit sore.]

Yeah, whatever. You need to work on your upper body strength. [Seeing Pegasus get to his feet, Ivan follows suit, only pausing briefly to wipes some of the dirt and sand off himself.]

Hnn... [He reaches up, experimentally adjusting his jaw. When he's done he glances over at the other man, smirking.] If you wanted a kiss, you could have just asked~

[He crosses his arms and looks rather miffed, as puffed up as a cat who'd been sufficiently spooked. Only he's angry.]

Hn. Well, so what if I do! I think you need to learn some manners.

[Pegasus only looked more annoyed than anything else, his voice sharp.]

I wanted no such thing from the likes of you.

[While Pegasus puffs and huffs, Ivan seems to have gotten over his bout of annoyance already and is just amused by the other man's huffiness.]

It just came out, stop being so delicate. You're the one that fell on me, remember?

[Ivan places a hand on his hip, smirking.]

Ohhuu, I see...so you're the no-kissing, one-night-stand type.

[Given he's had it up to here with Ivan's behavior as well as one can imagine he's not even going to take this in the right way at all.]

I'm not being delicate.

[Pegasus pouted more, though he conceded.]

Absolutely not! How ridiculous. I simply don't want to kiss you.

Uh-huh.

[Ivan sounds as if he might start laughing at any minute. Pegasus was really being touchy. It was kind of cute...it made him want to push his buttons.]

That's a shame. What else was I supposed to get for saving you~?

You...want something like that in return?

[Hey! Isn't that taking advantage of the situation? He paused enough to take it into consideration, swallowing..]

Ah...what else could you possible want besides that?

[Ivan raises a brow at Pegasus's reaction.] Well I had only been joking, but now...

I'm not sure...what are you offering? [Nothing like taking advantage of a happy misunderstanding!]

...Dinner on me?

[He knows Ivan likes to eat. And he can cook. So long as he doesn't get the wrong idea or anything!]

...Deal. [Ivan says it so quickly it's clear he hardly even gave it an ounce of thought. Food was food.]

[Phew. That was surprisingly easy. Though there was just the little issue of how he was going to cook when the whole place was overrun with jungle.]

Good. It's settled then. I will make you a meal when I am able...once we get out of here.

Oh, right... [Ivan makes a wry face, glancing over into the thick of the jungle.]

Well, let's try to find somewhere that isn't overrun, because I'm famished.

[He pulls out his survival knife, heading towards the brush.] I ate a snake earlier, but that didn't help much...

A...snake? That doesn't sound appetizing...

[He looks kind of grossed out at the prospect, but if he could find his way out with Ivan's help so much the better. There was no sense in running off and getting lost. Which is why he falls in behind him, hoping they'd at least find a source of water so he can wash all the sand off.]

Actually, it was delicious...! I wouldn't have minded some seasoning though. Or bread. Or another snake.

[Ivan was easily enthused by food, if that weren't already abundantly clear. He continues to lead Pegasus through the jungle, pushing most vines and branches out of his way and only deeming to use the knife when necessary. A machete would have been nice.]

[He's getting sweaty by now with the humidity so he doesn't feel particularly happy about sticking around, heaving a sigh even though Major Ivan was doing all the work. At least in the jungle numbers counted for something. They were less likely to get attacked by some ravenous creature, if there were any.

Pegasus felt fortunate, to some extent. Since he hasn't seen Lee yet there was some protection to be had in sticking around someone who seemed to know what they were doing.

He skirts around some large ferns and pushes through the plants when necessary]

Well, I don't think I've ever eaten one...nor am I about to start.

[Ivan was already sweaty, having been out in the jungle for a few hours trying to find an inhabitable spot. No luck so far, and the most he'd done was begrudgingly lead Roy to a room. Now it seems Ivan was stuck with company again.]

Ohh, is that so? But what if you were going to starve, hmm?

Well, obviously that would be different!

[He wouldn't turn his nose up at it and while he is a lover of finer and sometimes exotic food snakes just seemed like they wouldn't taste very good. He might be surprised.

Pegasus stared at what he thought might have once been a part of the dorm hall, but he couldn't be too sure given it was covered in foliage.]

Ah...I wonder if somewhere is free of this...I'm getting rather sick of these weird pranks as it is.

Well at least you wouldn't starve to death. That would be kind of pathetic. [Ivan looks way too amused right now. He can't help it...the image of Pegasus cringing as he unwillingly eats a snake. There's something cathartic about it.]

Believe me, I've been looking. No luck so far. But then again, it takes so long to get through the halls the way they are now, I doubt I've even covered that much ground.

I'd rather hope so! I won't let myself starve. [Pegasus pouted more.]

Hn. Well, what should we do then?
