CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: JUNGLE FEVER

[Much like last time, the intercom buzzes to life in the middle of the night for only a moment. An annoyed sigh can be heard.]

Oh dear. That's not supposed to happen...

[That's the last thing everyone will hear during the night. But in the morning, they will find themselves surrounded by vegetation so thick it'd be almost impossible to tell that they're in a school if they didn't already know. Vines coming out of the floorboards and covering the walls/ceilings, exotic plants growing out of the walls. Not to mention the wildlife! Just about any animal you would imagine to be in a jungle, dangerous or not, can be found lurking in the school. But don't worry! Not every corner of the campus is infested with poisonous plants and carnivorous beasts. The cafeteria is one hundred percent clear. It seems that the lunch lady's awful cooking is doing some good at keeping the wildlife at bay. In fact, anything that starts to grow anywhere near to doors of the lunchroom dies off pretty quickly!

May want to steer clear of the auditorium, though. The vegetation there is the thickest...and most dangerous.]



((TIME FOR ANOTHER EVENT. Seeing as how this one went up a day late it'll go on until the 19th. Every area is covered in vines, flowers, and animals. Some are dangerous (plants included) and some are harmless -- I'll leave that up to player discretion on what's hanging around. As long as they're plants/animals that would normally be found in any kind of jungle. Remember: nothing too big, it has to fit in the campus! The air is also really humid and muggy. The auditorium will have the bulk of the dangerous animals/plants, and also the biggest!

Lisa the nurse will be around to heal wounds or any poison (the symptoms of the poisonous plants are up to you. It's not a mind altering poison or anything, though), but her office will still be filled with vines and small animals, nothing dangerous. And as mentioned above the cafeteria is all clear and Edna will be around cooking all her awful food. Have fun!))

[All across the campus, fellow junglers can spy an armored fellow hacking and slashing his way through the thick underbrush in a futile attempt to clear paths for people to get from place to place quickly. As you come across him, he raises his sword arm in greeting]

Hail stranger! How fare thee these past hours with this queer forestry all about?

[You can spy a tuckered out Solaire taking a breather at one of the tables in the caf. His helmet is off, his shield and sword on the table next to it and he is drinking what appears to be some orange dusty drink from a large stone flask. Still, despite his exhaustion, he looks as upbeat as he usually sounds[

My, what an adventure! Truly, one such as myself could never have imagined such an environment for all my travels!
[What say you to that?]

[WOW! This is crazy! It's like an episode of 'Man vs. Wild' or something!]

[But just as Tajima began to wonder if he'd have to drink his own pee to survive- He comes across the lunchroom! And it's wildlife-free! In fact all of the wildlife around it seem to be... dying off.]

[...Is that a good sign?]

[Eh, whatever- he just happens to be hungry enough to find out!]

[Piko was not built for the jungle. All the moisture and heavy heat in the air has him struggling to keep moving, before finally falling down onto his behind with his legs splayed out as his side.]

This isn't good... [He squints his eyes as some of the lights on his exterior fluctuate.]

[Vulpes has never seen a jungle before, and it only takes a few minutes before he determines that he wishes he had never seen a jungle. While the animals here don't appear to be particularly mutated, he isn't interested in exploring the area unarmed just in case the more dangerous beasts are lurking somewhere else within the hallways.]

[When the Legionary realizes the cafeteria is untouched by the jungle, he decides to set up camp there. Anyone who stops by will see him sitting at a table eating lunch as if nothing unusual is happening in the rest of the building.]

[If there are a few things Boone is used to, it's heat and wild creatures running around all over the place. He isn't, however, used to all this vegetation. He picks his way through the jungle, rifle in his hands, and crouches down by some thick foliage. He spots something moving nearby and looks through his scope at it, finger poised over the trigger. Yeah, he'd rather hunt for his food than be subjected to whatever the cafeteria lady decided to "cook".]

[A short time later, he's carving up an unfortunate capybara. It kind of reminds him of the giant mole rats in the Mojave, only with fur.]

[ Shen hasn't a single damn clue as to where he is or how he got here but he does know that this is absolute bullshit. He practically snarls, swatting away at that insects that are buzzing around his head. For once, he's wishing that he wore more than just an over-shirt; the heat around here is humid and the foliage is no joke. And the bugs... ]

Dammit.

[ He scratches around his abs where round bumps have formed. Seems the local insects find the man irresistible. ]

[Of all the terrible things to be shouldered with—it's humid, it's hot, and Pegasus was in a foul mood. First an ocean and now this? As it'd been the only sane thing to put on in his closet he had grabbed his hat and proceeded forward in his khaki shirt and shorts. It was a perfectly good outfit to wear in this kind of weather.

However, that wasn't his main concern. The fact was, the entire campus was a maze of dense vegetation and mangroves. He could scarcely move before some living obstacle blocked his path like giantesque banana leaves, or weaving tree roots that nearly tripped him up. Before long he had an even bigger problem than simply jungle terrain to contend with. For once it wasn't even any dangerous animal or plant that proved to be dangerous to him.

He stepped forward nonchalantly, and found quite suddenly that his boots had disappeared beneath him until his feet became wedged in the densely packed sand. This had to have been a sick joke. Quicksand in a building shouldn't have been even possible. Sadly he hadn't thought of the Teddy Roosevelt mantra: "Walk softly and carry a big stick." If he had, he would have been able to extricate himself on his own.]

[This is more or less what Wander is used to. In fact, after being stuck in this strange place for weeks, it's welcomed.

Chopping away at vines with his sword, he travels down the halls with a critical eye on his surroundings. Someone's hunting for food!]

The fuck?

[Roy's never even been near a goddamn tree, much less a whole jungle before. It was overwhelming and suffocating. He could feel his chest tighten up every step he took down the halls, searching for his room so he could hole himself up in there for a while.

But he was completely lost, so...that might take a while.]
