PERMANENT EVENT: A WHOLE NEW FRONTIER

[Surely it was too early for another announcement, right...? But then there it is, that tell-tale electronic feedback screeching through the halls before a mature female voice resonates through it.]

The doors are unlocked.

[That's all she says. Those who are curious might test the front doors...and they'll find that they open not to the seemingly civilized outskirts of town as the now vanished view from the roof may have made you think, but to the horizon. Likewise that barrier and its lies blocking anybody's escape via the roof or sky has collapsed, leaving the air a tad bit...more temperamental. You see, there was weather now.

Out from the front doors of the Campus can be see an expanse of land and then the sea. Anybody who ventures out further will find that they're still trapped, only in a bigger cage. This new cage is now five miles across the diameter at its longest point. The island itself is about as varied as it comes: covered jungles, a cave system, a single stream leading up to a freshwater lake, and a lone mountain near the center. One part near the front of the school is home to a sometimes-pleasant sandy shore ripe for the hunting sea life. Everywhere else is a perilous cliff fall into the sea.

Anybody who tries to escape via the sea will find the riptide tearing them back to a cave near the shore.]

[Kaiba sat waiting at the table, edging up in his seat when Pegasus sat down the chess board. It'd been awhile since he played chess against anybody, so he was actually looking forward to it.]

[When he first sees the Duel Monsters theme board, he finds it rather clever...until he notices that those aren't just any Duel Monsters. They're...]

Cartoons? Ugh.

Ahahha~ What's the matter?

[Pegasus laughed without restraint to the reaction. Oh goodness, what a hoot Kaiba-boy could be! He's already gathering out the Toon pieces and setting them in their proper places...Why, with Toon Blue Eyes as the King and Toon Black Magician girl as the Queen, everything was already perfect!]

Don't fancy a friendly game of chess?

[Lee returns home to find that there is another person in the room. The white lab coat and goggles is a dead give-a-way that he found one of the labs. He smells of some sort of fuel that he's been working with. Possibly with something else in the mix as well.

Still, building a robot takes work, time and dedication. Something has to power the thing.

He strides in and removes the lab coat without much care to reveal his pressed white suit underneath.]

Anything new? Aside from the extra warm body, I presume.

[Then he spots the chess board.]

[Any semblance of a recovering mood Kaiba may have had deteriorates when he see what he can only presume is "Lee", the head of the company Pegasus wishes to merge with.]

So this is Lee. [That look in his eyes is far from welcoming. A bit challenging, if anything.]

[If anything Pegasus only brightened all the more, and he rose, distracted temporarily by the appearance of a one Lee Chaolan emerging from the entrance.]

Chaolee-boy!~ There you are. ♡ Please do come in. I made dinner! I do hope you like steak. I kept a plate for you. And oh, where ever have you been? You smell like...well, science, for lack of a better term.

[He already is up close and personal with the man, but he hardly saw anything wrong with that at all.]

Oh, "Extra warm body" indeed. This is my colleague and business partner, Kaiba-boy. Come, please. To the table! And oh, you fancy chess too? I mean, I believe you said you did, but..I never really brought it out before now.

Kaiba-boy, this is Lee~

[Lee couldn't help but laugh after Pegasus made his little speech and introduction. Then it all made sense to him why Pegasus was so animated. His smirk became a genuine smile as he addresses Kaiba.]

My humblest apologies for not greeting you properly, Mister Kaiba. Pegasus spoke highly of you in the warmest regards.

[It was Lee's way of saying that he could have called him a brat but now wasn't the time for petty quips when a good meal was waiting. Now, to address his whereabouts.]

Oh, I've been working in the robotics lab and becoming reacquainted with the machinery. The math is tremendous! I feel so much better now that I am back with something familiar.

[Kaiba remains seated, watching the two with distaste. This was Lee? What would Pegasus need with somebody in the robotics field? Wasn't KaibaCorp's Solid Vision system good enough?

Even when Lee greets him, the teen has nothing to say, not that it mattered since the older man went on to answer Pegasus's previous question mere seconds later.]

Come now, Kaiba-boy. Don't be like that~ Say hello. ♥

[Honestly Kaiba. He puts in a good word for you and this is how you repay him? Pegasus sighed a little, before turning back to Lee.]

Oh, don't mind him. He's a little upset, naturally. He's only been here a little while, after all.

[At the explanation though he looks more than delighted.]

Robotics lab? They have that here? O~oh I'd love to see. Please, do show me!~ I want to see a genius at work. But for now, why don't I take your coat...and you sit.

[His suit coat that was since he'd already helped himself out of his lab coat! Pegasus helped him out of it, and gestured for him to sit, hanging it up before there was room to protest.

Then, before long, he's already pouring Lee a glass of wine, and bringing out his dinner of choice chateaubriand steak, the kind of roasted beef tenderloin with wine sauce that was tender and moist on the inside and served with a side of grilled summer vegetables. He's just such the host like that, though he'd made sure Kaiba had gotten his already. It actually wasn't particularly hard to prepare, despite how it may have sounded.]
