[Event] It couldn't last forever.
[The lights going out had certainly surprised Henry, but he had been prepared for such a thing. He didn't fully understand the "electricity" that this place seemed to have, and thus, lacking that understanding, he had decided to prepare in case it disappeared.
Just like it had now.
Candles in that old-style holder and lit, Henry at least had some visibility despite the pressing darkness. Making sure to store away the others (at least after making sure Eleanor and Jack had ones themselves) he's started off into the Campus, looking for anyone lost in this darkness to help them find their way back to their dorms, or wherever else it was they wanted to go.]

[He glances at Jack, brief concern crossing his face before he shifts his arm a bit more protectively around the other man.]
You took care of me. If I can offer even a night of comfort, then I'm more than happy to.
no subject
[Dammit, Henry, he's meant to be the protector... Though he has to admit, it doesn't feel too bad. He closes his eyes, nestling into the other man thoughtlessly. If it were anyone else, he'd not even have thought of it. But Henry was someone who mattered to him more than anyone.]
Worry not... I'm at ease right now.
no subject
[Even the protectors sometimes need protection themselves... and Henry is more than willing to offer it for a time, especially after all they've done for him.]
Good. I know I haven't asked anything easy of you lately... and for that, I'm sorry.
no subject
[It's a thoughtless suggestion, offered pretty much randomly.]
You worry too much... I can handle anything.
no subject
[Henry's voice is still teasing, but there's a serious enough note to it. He's slept in far less comfort before, after all.
To that, he muses for a moment, as if thinking, then just nods softly, closing his eyes. He won't say what's on his mind -- that if Jack could handle anything, why did he die before Henry could get there? It's a selfish question, a childish reaction to the pain that still twists a part of his heart.
Almost subconsciously, his hand tightens on Jack.]
no subject
[The lack of response alarms him a little. Coupled with the tighter grip, he feels a little concerned. Had Henry's mood already sank down?]
I appreciate it... either way. [His hand rests on Henry's shoulder, gripping firmly.]
You give me peace.
no subject
[Henry turns a smile on Jack, then glances to the candle still flickering in front of them. It's burning low...]
Jack, could you?
[Because he's a bit occupied with two people laying on him presently. Of course, putting out the candle does mean Henry intends to stay here for a while -- clearly in sleep as well -- so the suggestion is both to the candle and locking the door.]
no subject
I live to obey.
[The amused smile can be heard in his voice.]
no subject
[It's soft, almost so quiet that Jack would not have heard it had he not been right there. Once he's settled, Henry rests his head on Jack's, closing his eyes again with a soft sigh.]
no subject
[Closing his eyes, he relaxes there. It's an odd position and it feels a little strange, but he feels comfortable enough to relax.]

IN THE MORNING... 1/2
Who was that? ...ah. That was right! He'd fallen asleep against Henry. Had Henry really stayed the entire time he slept? How kind! But something felt wrong. There was another person there with them. As he sat up a little, he dislodged the warm hand resting against his head, and the other person stirred and awoke. He could hear a low grumble as the other person sat up, inadvertently dislodging Henry.
...who?]
IN THE MORNING... 2/2
[The movement that knocked his hand was enough to awaken him from the pleasant sleep he was in. Without thinking, he started to get up, only to find himself suddenly restrained by the presence of a certain king of england...
...draping himself over his lap in his sleep. How possessive! It was probably unintentional, but it still seemed like a blatant attempt to prevent him leaving. He carelessly rested a hand on the back of Henry's head, not bothering to move him aside.]
no subject
He gives something akin to a grunted snore, shifting a little to try to be more comfortable by throwing his legs over the other side of the couch and turning over onto his back.
What this ends up doing is pinning Ryou underneath said legs... and setting his head right in Jack's lap.]
1/2
[Ryou blinks in surprise at the unexpected pinning. He doesn't want to push Henry off, so he just sits there. This is unusual.
...well, it's not painful, since his own legs are only injured below the knee, so he doesn't protest it.]
2/2
Henry, your head is in my lap, he wants to say, but that would mean waking him up. Please get off of me, he wants to say, but again, that would wake him up. He would just pick him up, but...
As long as Henry doesn't try turning over again, he isn't going to react.
Much.]
no subject
...Well. You two might be here for a while.]
no subject
[Welp. Nothing to do but strike up a conversation with this other person.]
...Hi.
[Translation: Who are you?
And so it begins.]
Some hours later...
And so, he yawns loudly as he shifts a little, frowning at the odd feel. What kind of pillow was he laying on...?]
1/2
[The low murmur of voices above him probably sounds confusing at first. The candles haven't even been re-lit, since it'd be hard to do that without dislodging Henry. At least they're familiar.
Still, at the shift, Jack's voice falters slightly. Don't move against his lap, Henry! That's uncomfortable.]
Ah. It appears his highness has awoken at last.
2/2
[Hm? Why did Jack's voice pause like that? Then he hears the yawn even as Jack speaks, and understands.]
Good morning, Hen- uhm. Your Majesty! I think it's morning anyway.
no subject
[It takes a moment, but the memory of the night before comes back to Henry and he blinks, bracing himself on whatever he's laying on and trying to push himself to sitting in the space that he has.
...Leg. That's a leg -- Jack's, from the positioning of the voices. Then he was just laying on...
...Oh.
Henry is quick to swing his legs over and sit up, clearing his throat in what's clearly embarrassment.]
Sorry, Jack. Good morning to both of you.
no subject
He's glad Henry can't see his face right now. Because it's not exactly the most mature thing to be beet red with embarassment.]
Good morning.
[His voice is a little embarassed.]
