CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

[-! Shit-! He looks over as Ryou squeaks in fear and dives behind a tree. It takes him a second to respond, running through options in his mind.]

Ah... no, he's there. He must be slipping... usually he doesn't let people see him.

He's the 'me that isn't me'. Basically, what I could have been if I grew up in his world.

That 'Ryou Bakura' didn't make it, but wasn't able to pass on due to regrets. So when he came here, I let him stick around and take over my body sometimes.

I see... that's nice of you. I can't imagine what it'd feel like having your body taken over like that.

[She smiles over at the tree, waving in a friendly way.]

Sighing, he peeks out from behind the tree, offering a friendly - if awkward - wave in response.

...she probably wouldn't believe him if he said he was the original, would she? Man.]

He's 'me', after all... I know I'd want the same if I was in his shoes.

It's not so bad. It's like going to sleep, only your body keeps going while you're asleep.

Wouldn't that be scary, though? Waking up some time later with no idea what you've been doing? Even if it is "you."

[She smiles a bit brighter, waving for him to come over.]

[Sighing in frustration at that, he flies up to hover beside them, offering her a bright smile.]

Hello! Ryou-kun, isn't it? It's nice to meet you. My name's Karasu!

[fluffydeathdealer]

Ehehe... [He rubs the back of his head awkwardly.]

Un, it's nice to meet you, Karasu-chan! I'm Ryou Bakura. The other me goes by Bakura-kun, right? I used to as well, but I prefer Ryou now.

That's right, he does. He's a very good friend of mine! He took care of me for a long time, you know?

Ehhh, really? [Wow, the other him really does have it in him to be nice, huh? Weird... this is like the second person he's met who's gotten along with him.]

I didn't know that! He never tells me a thing about what happens when I'm not with him, you know?

Well, maybe he just wants a little privacy. But yes, he did. He found me really hurt out here a while ago and took me into the building, then helped sew up my side so I wouldn't bleed out or anything. He kept checking up on me and everything, too.

He's a very important friend of mine.

[fluffydeathdealer]

[You and him both, other him... But he just mulls that over in silence for a moment first.]

Should I give you two your privacy, then? I don't want to be a third wheel...

No, it's all right. I don't really mind it at all. It's not like we're doing anything private right now, just trying to warm up. I was looking for a cave or something to hide out in for a while.

[fluffydeathdealer]

[He looks over at Bakura, who nods, and sits on the air beside them on the other side, swinging his legs idly.]

A cave would be good, but it wouldn't be really warm, and you can't set a fire or anything inside one. Wouldn't it be better to just try to find somewhere that isn't going to be damp?

I guess that's a good point... but I don't know if I'm that comfortable sleeping outside with some of the people around here. Call it something like an old fear.

[He heaves a sigh at that.]

Yeah... I agree. The other me and I don't like it either, but he and Malik-kun won't try the caves. I guess it's harder to run if you're blocked in, and it's kind of an obvious place to hide. That's why we were looking around, after all.

[moderndaydragon]

I understand. If Bakura-kun tells me where they're hiding once he finds it, or if I can help him find it, I'm going to try to hunt for them, too. Bakura-kun seems to know how to handle fur, so there's that!

Well, sure. I don't really know how to do much of anything with animals, especially not make blankets or anything I could need, so I figure, if you're going to help me with that, I can make sure you and Malik get food and fur too!

Though I guess Malik would be easy to get food for... just grab everything off the trees, right?

Ehehe... Malik-kun really is a picky eater, so I don't think he'd be too happy with the meat part. But I don't think even he'd turn down fur blankets. He's wearing shorts, after all, so he's gotta be pretty cold.
