CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

[Oh, but Malik does wake up in time. The smell of chicken draws him back to consciousness! He looks a bit groggy as he pulls himself and the blanket over to sit next to Bakura.

This time, he doesn't even bother to ask before he starts picking at the chicken.]

Hmph, you'll wake up well enough when the work is done, I see...

[Bakura sounds grouchy, but he doesn't care. He'll just be eating the meat off the chicken's legs viciously.]

Are you upset? [He was too groggy to bother sounding mocking.] We only had one knife. Besides, I made all those shoes.

[Malik was quite proud of his shoes too.

Bakura was free to attack the legs, as Malik was more interested in the breast meat and tenderloins.]

I'm feeling a little better, by the way.

[fluffydeathdealer]

I don't care. If you want to sleep all day, that's fine... it's probably better for you, right now.

[Chomp.]

That's good.

[Malik finishes off his fill of chicken in silence, but instead of crawling back to his "bed" by the fire, he just leans wordlessly up against Bakura's shoulder.]

[He silently loops his arm around Malik's shoulder in a loose embrace.]

[Sitting here like this, with Bakura... It really was a different sort of pleasure.

As long as Bakura let him, Malik would stay like this, his mind tiredly working over his concerns regarding their current situation. His plans for escape, for Harriet, for Ryou...]

[Bakura isn't one who cares too much about pleasures like this, but he doesn't mind sitting there. It's warm and he's comfortable and it's not unpleasant, so he waits.

Mm... He closes his eyes and relaxes. Hopefully the building will be back eventually, but for now, this is fine...]

[When he woke up, Malik was sprawled over Bakura, half under the blanket on his beck, with one leg thrown over Bakura's waist.

He blinks himself awake, looking up at the cave ceiling.]

Nn... [Removing his leg and sitting up, Malik gives the other boy's shoulders a nudge.]

[fluffydeathdealer]

Mm...? [Bakura grumbles, not really wanting to move.]

What is it...?

I heard something...it sounded like that woman's voice.

[fluffydeathdealer]

...What woman?

[He gets up. Odd... his head kind of hurts. The hell is that all about?]

Come on, let's go see.

[obeytherod]

The one who we've heard over the speakers before.

[Malik nods, climbing to his own feet. He leaves the blanket behind as he heads out to the entrance of the cave, stopping there as he tries to peer through the brush.]

[fluffydeathdealer]

[Bakura follows, less hesitant; there's no signs of movement that he can detect, so he just heads past Malik, avoiding the traps, and heads back through the woods. He stays silent at first until he sees the light glisten off the edge of the building.]

...huh. Malik, isn't this good? The building decided to come back.

[Malik follows, of course, and he almost walks right into a tree when he notices the building for himself.]

...!! It's really back...!

[His deck, his Rod!

Malik breaks into a sprint.]

[Bakura follows, suspicious of this new apparition but not really bothered enough by it to avoid it. he reaches the apartment a moment or two behind Malik, stopping off to check on his deck before anything else. He needs to get something like the sheath for his knife, but for his cards... either that or get his goddamn duel disk back. Possibly both. It's not like his pants have pockets the size of those Malik has.]

Much better.

[Brb, showering. Gah, warm water is such a luxury...]

[Malik makes a beeline for the nightstand, letting out a sigh of relief as he was greeted with his Rod and deck. He casually changes into some fresh clothes afterward.

And then, totally enthralled with the fact they were "home", Malik grabs the blankets off both top bunks and makes what can only be described as a nest for him to comfortably lay in.

He flips through his deck as he waits for Bakura to finish, and eventually summons Thunder Nyan Nyan to give him a shoulder rub.]

[Once he's done, he redresses, reclaims his deck and goes to flop on the beds tiredly. Odd... he still feels kind of drained. But this is good. Comfort, his deck, peace and safety... He barely even snarks, his mood lifted too high.]

You really have a thing for that creature, it seems...

What, are you jealous?

[Malik opens an eye, peeking a look at Bakura from the edge of his blanket-nest.]

[fluffydeathdealer]

Who knows? You'd get too tired from a partner like that... and besides, I know you're mine.

[He buries his face in the blankets. Mm... that's not bad.]

[Malik returns Thunder Nyan Nyan to her card and rolls over, his shoulder knocking against Bakura as he rests up against him.]

And you're mine...but what do you mean I'd "get too tired"?

Having to keep them summoned and supply them with energy would be a bitch on a long-term basis... and they've got a lot more energy than you. They'd tire you out if you decided to do anything intimate with them.

[...he sounds so matter of fact. Bakura tiredly cuddles up to him.]

[His eyes widen and he jerks away from Bakura to get a better look at the man.]...Don't tell me you've done that!

...the fuck are you talking about?! [Okay, that has him more awake. He sits up, staring at Malik as if he grew a second head.]

I may seem like a perverted bastard to you, but I don't get laid all that often, asshole! And I don't mix business and pleasure except where you're concerned.
