[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!

[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.

Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!

Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

Un, of course. Since you can't see the zipper if you're wearing it, it's always easier if somebody else helps you. That's what friends are for.

Ah, thank you Rin-chan! This really means a lot to me...

[Even if it's embarrassing as all hell.

He turns around and pulls the coat off, revealing the zipper on his back.]

[Rin lets out another snicker. She really can't help it.]

All right, here goes!! ♪

[Reaching for the zipper, it meets more resistance than the ribbons did. She jiggles it a bit, before sighing.]

Well, it reeeally doesn't want to come off- but someone as great as me isn't gonna lose to a stupid zipper, ok? Hang on.

[She pulls slowly up... and then pulls sharply down] Hiyaaah~!

[it seems to have worked.] Victory! ♪

[Ryou tensed, waiting with anticipation...only for Rin to be unable to get it down her first try. He can't help but feel a little disappointed]

Ah, okay. If it's not too much trouble, then--

Yeep! [He felt the sudden chill of air and the harsh tug of the zipper as signs of Rin's success. Giving an involuntary shiver, he quickly turned around, his hands grasping the opposing arm.]

You really did it! [Ryou was both shocked, and delighted.]

[roadroller]

[That yelp! Ryou's so cute. Rin giggles, holding up a V for Victory sign.]

Yup yup! ... So are you gonna take it off? ♪

U-un, definitely. Thank you, Rin-chan.

[Ryou grabbed that coat and slipped back into the closet to change. He popped back out a moment later to try and raid some pants from the drawers, but then he's definitely going back in to change!!

He walked back out a few minutes later, dressed in three-sizes-too-big jeans and that same oversized coat. He seemed much more chipper than before, and significantly less red-faced.]

This should do until I get back to my room. I'll have to remember to come back here after to return the clothes, though...

Nice. I'll come with! ♪

[Inviting self over and giving no fucks]

Hehe, you better hurry. You're sagging, it's totally uncool. ♪

If you really want to. [He doesn't remembering inviting her, but after all the help she's been he wasn't going to complain.]

Ahh, I know...I really do look like a total mess. [He pouted, but hey, it was better to be unkempt than in a dress. Taking said dress with him, because he doesn't want to just leave it laying around, Ryou quickly heads out the door and into the hall.]

[she wants to see what his room is like. because reasons.

Rin skips in step next to him, cheerfully ignoring the stopped roadroller slamming cracks into the wall from when she bailed on it earlier.]

So how far is your room? ♪

It's not far from here. I was heading for it when you stopped me.

[Ahh, is it really okay to bring a girl back to his room? People might get the wrong idea... She might get the wrong idea.]

It's really not that interesting though, so I mean...you don't have to come.

[And if she knows where he lives, she might pop in unexpectedly at bad times...]

[Rin's ignoring that hint just like she ignored the busted wall]

Is there anything else to do?♪

Not really. I only got here a few days ago.

[roadroller]

Then no problem, right? ♪

... [He's been duped! Ryou lets out a sigh, stopping once they reach his dorm.]

R-right... Well, here it is.

[Ryou pushes open the door to reveal...nothing special! Except all those work-in-progress Monster World figures nearly set on a desk along with his paint supplies.]

Please, make yourself at home. [Gestures!]

[roadroller]

Thanks, I will! Heheh.

[kicks off her shoes by the door and ventures in, holding her hands behind her back as she stands in place and looks around. She pauses and tilts her head back at him]

Sooo, got any snacks? ♪

[Ryou follows her in, pulling off his shoes and slipping into a pair of inside ones.]

...I have some crackers. Here, I'll get them for you in a minute, just let me change first.

[Setting the dress down on the arm of the couch, he hurries into the bedroom and locks the door behind him.]

Okay~! ♪

[She'll just kinda wander around while he does that, and when he comes back out she's picking up a monster world piece to look at it idly]

[Oh god, was there seriously a girl in his room right now? How awkward...

Ryou came out a minute later in his usual neat and orderly clothes, the oversized ones slung over his arm. When he sees Rin looking at a Monster World figure, his previous anxiety almost melts away entirely.]

Ah! Do you like them? They're for my new Monster World playset.

[roadroller]

Sure, it looks pretty cute! [Rin points at the figure in her hand]

Is this the kinda game you customize yourself? I know a lot of songs about RPGs, but I only play the video game kind. ♪

Eheh, thanks. Some people just buy pre-painted pieces, or ones you assemble and paint yourself, but I like to go a step farther and make my own. If I can, I'll usually take a base from a generic figure and build over it to make things a little easier.

[Ryou makes his way closer, picking up one of the half-molded pieces (thoroughly wrapped in plastic) to show Rin what he means. There's a resin base below, and overtop of it he's been building with clay. The face and hair might start to look familiar--it's him!]

Usually you buy the board pieces yourself and just click them together however you want, but since I can't go to the game shop here I'll have to build my entire set from scratch.

Not that I mind, it's fun and keeps me busy. [He's just beaming at her.]

Oh, and it's a little different from its videogame counterpart, but board games like these are where the genre came from! So now, instead of needing a whole group of people, you can have an adventure whenever you want. Still...I prefer to play with friends around a table.

[...HELP. She opened a floodgate! Rin tries to be politely interested but she can't help but snicker a bit when she notices the figure is supposed to be himself. Everything about this screams "overly invested." ]

Wow, you're really geeking out about this...

[Still, she meant it when she called the figures cute. It's the first time he's looked really happy too. Rin won't judge him, she'll just tease. ]

Hehehe. I like games though, it sounds pretty fun! I think you have a nice talent here. ♪

Ah... [He looks a little embarrassed, and about ready to change the topic, when Rin draws him back in.

He smiles brightly at her again, earnestly enthused.]

Thank you Rin-chan. If you want, when I finish my game board, we could play some time! I can invite my Aniki and Yugi-kun to join us--maybe, if they're interested. It'll be really fun!

[Rin doesn't know those people, but she supposes a big group is needed to play a game like this.]

Sure, it could be. But, is there anything I'd need to do to prepare? Like a character sheet or something? ♪

Un, that's right! You'll have to pick your race, class, miniature, and then make up a name, personality, and a back story. After that you can roll for your stats and gear and start the game!

[He rattles off the details with a smile, not even having to think about them.]
