[EFFECT ROOM] Dresses for the Dressing Room!
[Welcome to Lapin Angelique! Everyone who enters this room will suddenly find themselves wearing a Gothic Lolita Dress. They may also have other gothic accessories such as tiny little hats, frilly parasols, vampire capes, or spooky plushies.
Bizarre things will happen if you try to take off the clothes. Maybe it will just be downright impossible, they're stuck to your body. Maybe you'll start to FEEL GOTH and the BLACKNESS OF YOUR HEART compels you to put the clothes back on. Maybe you start taking off the clothes, only to find that doing so causes you to slowly morph into a bunny until you put them back on (or until you're a bunny. But was that REALLY worth it?) It's all up to fate!
Either way, these dresses are probably staying on, at least until the effect wears off. Which could be anything from a couple hours to the rest of the day.]

[Sickeningly mocking, Malik pulls his monsters back into his cards and turns back for the door, speaking quietly into Karasu's mind.
Well, we're done here. I'm leaving.]
no subject
At the least, she can control the actual emotion of her thoughts.
Sure thing. I want to find something first, myself.]
no subject
Malik lazily waves a hand at her, not turning to look back as he leaves the room.]
no subject
Moving over to to the Thief King, she gently reaches out and grasps his shoulder, trying to see if he can shift attention to anything out of his own mind.]
Hey. Can you hear me?
no subject
H-help...me...
no subject
Maybe this is the same man she hates, but... something like this, especially with her fault... she has to do whatever she can to make it better. It's... really, the only thing she can do.]
no subject
H-hot... [He claws at his arms, as if trying to pull something other than his jewelry off.] Oh--a-aahh! H-help! Ra...
[Somehow, Bakura manages to get to his feet, but in his brief aimless stumble he hits into the table and crumples again.]
R-raaa...help me! Please!? [Before he...melts... He doesn't want to melt into the unbearable, molten blood and gold.]
no subject
Hot... but maybe she could do something about that. Getting up, she quickly goes to grab a wash cloth and a towel from the bathroom, soaking both of them with cold water. The towel itself is thrown into the freezer, the washcloth brought out as she presses it to his head, making sure not to touch his skin again.]
no subject
Ahh... Guh... [That small bit of cold in a sea of heat. It felt like the only tangible thing he had.]
no subject
When she heads back out, she tries to wrap the towel around the Thief King as best she can, to give him a little more of that seemingly needed cold.]
no subject
He was starting to shiver, but made no effort to move away.]
no subject
She notices the shivering, but with how desperately he's clutching the towel, figures suffering that is better than what's going on in his mind. Disappearing into the kitchen again for a moment, she comes out with a bottle of cold water, trying to pull his head up enough to press it against his lips. Hopefully, a drink would help this, too...]

Because Bakura finally regains his senses, slightly delirious as he sits up on his own and looks perturbed at the girl in front of him. His hair was sticking to his forehead and cheeks from the cloth he'd been holding against it, and he looked sickly.
Ignoring Karasu for the moment, or perhaps not really seeing her at all, he lifts his hands and looks at them, curling the fingers in towards his palm thoughtfully.
He...was alive. That's right. That's right. Melting, that had just been an illusion, but the Millennium Rod had brought that terrifying feeling back.
He almost lost it. Who knows if he'd have been able to pull himself out of that state? Right now, his mind felt fractured, stripped of all energy it had left and waiting to collapse in on itself.]
no subject
...or, well, as "all here" as he ever was.
She carefully presses the bottle into his hands, gingerly as if she's afraid just touching him again will cause another freak-out. And quite frankly, that's the last thing she wants to do.]

Yo, Malik. Been training again?
no subject
[He casually pulls back his hood, shaking out his hair in the process. His eyes lock with Bakura's a moment, cold and smirking.]
I was just taking care of an annoying pest.
no subject
[Bakura stares over at him, curiously. It's been a long time since he's seen Malik like this, come to think of it. Not just the expression, but the clothes too.]
no subject
[Malik waltzes over, squeezing himself onto the couch even if it meant forcing Bakura's legs aside.]
no subject
The thief?
no subject
[He swings one leg over, crossing it over his knee. That tell-tale smirk of his remains.]
He tried to send Karasu after my Rod. When she told me of his intentions, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
no subject
[The curse just slips out. Goddammit, he'd kill that guy if he could get away with it! But wait...]
She told you about it? Heh. What a fool... but at least she's good for something beyond flying. What did you do?
no subject
[He reaches back, pulling out a few cards. Malik continues to speak almost matter-of-factly, although his sadistic nature seems to grow with every syllable uttered.]
I could have used the Rod, but I decided to pin him with a few of my monsters instead. I figured that would get the point across better about just how powerless he is when compared to me~
[Tilting the Rod a bit in his hand.] ...And then I dug into his mind, bringing up the memory of his punishment game. You should have seen him, Bakura...writhing on the floor in terror. He's lucky I didn't do worse.

[Fucking hell, that's hot.]
no subject
[Heh... he really has been underestimating this bastard. All of the whininess and uselessness of the last month or so made him forget what type of person he was dealing with. He likes it... this side of Malik. It's delightful.]
Heheh... You may have broken his mind, you know!
no subject
I really didn't feel like moving again, you know? Keh keh, but if you wanted to see...
[He holds up the Rod, pointing it at Bakura.] I can do that.
