CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED

[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]

((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.

For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P

If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.

[She shifts a little, then suddenly sits up, looking out into the kitchen.]

...Ah, Ryou-kun! The cake's almost ready.

It's only natural to be scared. It's like the tower of babel. Language separating people. But... I'm sure it'll be something we can work through. The other things this place has done faded away, right? Even the people who forgot everything a while back remembered the day after. So maybe it'll all come back.

Ah! Do you need any help frosting it or anything?

Yeah... it can't last forever, if this is another of its little "tricks." But... I guess with me it's because I lost a language I learned naturally that it's so scary.

Sure! I've got a bunch of frosting and sprinkles and other stuff, so we can go crazy on it!

We're kind of lucky this place only messes with people, or else we'd be in real danger.

[Hopping up, he follows her into the kitchen, looking a little more lively.]

Cake makes a lot of things better, so I figured I'd make one!

[Ah, here! She comes up with about five different flavors of icing, putting them on the counter so they can pick which one.]

[That's definitely his pick. Not too strong, like raspberry, and not as bland as vanilla.]

We should make buttercream icing next time! If we layer the cake it'll be really nice with it.

That actually sounds really good... maybe once everything's back to normal, we can make it to celebrate?

[She'll snag a couple of knives, then, offering one to Ryou and opening the container.]

If we do, though, we should make a huge cake for everyone. I'm sure they'll all need it!

[Ryou nods, thinking it over as he takes the knife and sets to work.]

Un! We'll do it to celebrate, then. But maybe we should make a lot of little cakes, rather than one big one. The oven might not be able to handle a cake big enough for everyone.

[She gets to work as well, on the opposite side.]

And if we made a lot of little cakes, then people could just take one and have it all to themselves.

Un! It'll be better for people, since they can eat them at home if they're not hungry yet.

We can make personalized frosting for the people we know, too.

Yeah... he's good at that. But I don't think he's really a bad guy. When I first found out what he and I were, I was pretty freaked out, but I guess as past selves go, he's pretty okay. If kinda frightening at times.

I'd like that! If people are being reset to their natural language, Malik-kun and Vaughn-san won't understand me at all... so it'll probably be pretty frustrating otherwise.

U-un... We're two parts of the same soul. I don't understand it entirely, but basically... when you die, apparently your soul splits, and part of it reincarnates, while the rest goes onto the afterlife? Or something like that. So I'm him, but not him. I don't have his memories or experiences or anything... But I'm still technically him.
