CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

Right. I'll take this side. [He nods behind himself and, after setting down his shirt, goes to see if he can't find something near the edge of the forest that might work.]

[But don't you want to look like you've been trying to imitate Yugi and failed?

Bakura looks around, wandering off in search of something they can use. He does find what appears to be a pumpkin, which might work if hollowed out enough, but pft, like that'll be much good for long. At least they can eat the insides, though.]

Any idea?

[Malik comes back a few minutes later with an armful of small squash. They probably wouldn't hold much more than 6 to 12 ounces each, but it was something.]

I found these.

...those are tiny. This might do better.

And that thing is huge. We could at least use these like personal water bottles.

[fluffydeathdealer]

But you're going to need more of a store of water than those. With you being sick, you're probably going to drink like crazy.

We'll just take both then. There's no reason not to. The more water the better, right?

[He gives the squash another look.] Besides...we can eat them too.

We can eat the pumpkins too. But if that's what you want, I don't care. Should we hollow them out here, or back at the cave?

Let's go back first, I'm starting to feel fatigued...

[Malik lets out a pained sigh as he leans down to retrieve his shirt again, not waiting for Bakura to answer before he heads back into the forest.]

[Ugh, you goddamn whiny bitch... Fine, fine. Hefting the pumpkin on one shoulder, he hurries back to the cave, leaving it in there and restarting the fire.]

Get comfortable.

[Get comfortable? Oh, Malik's already laying down and curling up for a nap.

HAVE FUN MAKING THOSE WATER BOTTLES BY YOURSELF.]

FINE, he'll make the damn water containers. He wouldn't trust Malik with his knife anyway. But this also means he'll eat the chicken he catches all by himself if Malik doesn't wake up in time~. Revenge is a dish best spiced with bitchiness!]

[Oh, but Malik does wake up in time. The smell of chicken draws him back to consciousness! He looks a bit groggy as he pulls himself and the blanket over to sit next to Bakura.

This time, he doesn't even bother to ask before he starts picking at the chicken.]

Hmph, you'll wake up well enough when the work is done, I see...

[Bakura sounds grouchy, but he doesn't care. He'll just be eating the meat off the chicken's legs viciously.]

[obeytherod]

Are you upset? [He was too groggy to bother sounding mocking.] We only had one knife. Besides, I made all those shoes.

[Malik was quite proud of his shoes too.

Bakura was free to attack the legs, as Malik was more interested in the breast meat and tenderloins.]

I'm feeling a little better, by the way.

[fluffydeathdealer]

I don't care. If you want to sleep all day, that's fine... it's probably better for you, right now.

[Chomp.]

That's good.

[obeytherod]

[Malik finishes off his fill of chicken in silence, but instead of crawling back to his "bed" by the fire, he just leans wordlessly up against Bakura's shoulder.]

[He silently loops his arm around Malik's shoulder in a loose embrace.]

[Sitting here like this, with Bakura... It really was a different sort of pleasure.

As long as Bakura let him, Malik would stay like this, his mind tiredly working over his concerns regarding their current situation. His plans for escape, for Harriet, for Ryou...]

[fluffydeathdealer]

[Bakura isn't one who cares too much about pleasures like this, but he doesn't mind sitting there. It's warm and he's comfortable and it's not unpleasant, so he waits.

Mm... He closes his eyes and relaxes. Hopefully the building will be back eventually, but for now, this is fine...]

[When he woke up, Malik was sprawled over Bakura, half under the blanket on his beck, with one leg thrown over Bakura's waist.

He blinks himself awake, looking up at the cave ceiling.]

Nn... [Removing his leg and sitting up, Malik gives the other boy's shoulders a nudge.]

[fluffydeathdealer]

Mm...? [Bakura grumbles, not really wanting to move.]

What is it...?

[obeytherod]

I heard something...it sounded like that woman's voice.

[fluffydeathdealer]

...What woman?

[He gets up. Odd... his head kind of hurts. The hell is that all about?]

Come on, let's go see.
