CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK

[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.

Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.

For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]

((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.

The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

And then his dramatics slip back into the causal with some more leg swinging.] Heh...so, did you want me to teach you again?

Hey, do I look like I'm going to freeze? I'm the one with the campfire, the food, and the pelts beyond just one bear, you know.

If you can actually teach me something about my other half, yeah. Though I just came to make sure you didn't die.

[Bakura hops down from the tree, chuckling after he lands on his feet. The most he'd done with that bear pelt was wrap it around his waist and let it hang over his legs. Other than that, he'd only bothered to tug his robe closed.]

You're here because we made a deal. That's all. Then if you want to learn, follow me~

[He turns on heel and heads into the forest.]

[You remind her of Malik, and that's not a good thing. She rolls her eyes, shooting him a glare and not even bothering to hide it. What an asshole... why is she doing this again?

Oh right, because this asshole has the answers she wants.

Sighing, she follows him.]

Fine, then. Excuse me for being a person.

I won't! H-heh hehe...because you'll never learn to control that other side of yourself if you keep submitting to the human in you!

[He licks his lips, continuing to walk with a slightly hunched posture, ducking under the occasional branch.]

I don't believe that. If that's the case, then I'd gladly just lock it away forever. Being a dragon isn't worth giving up being human, even if I haven't had much luck as one.

[She's suddenly tempted to just turn around and walk away, damn this deal and everything.]

So if that's the only way to do it... then I guess the deal's done here.

H-hahaha... GYAHAHAHA! [He throws his head back, shoulders shaking with laughter. Bakura turns back towards her suddenly, grinning without mercy as he leers into her blue eyes.]

You already swore over it--it's too late! You can't back out now. If you were having doubts, you shouldn't have committed to it! Come on, it won't be so bad... h-hehe. You can keep some of your humanity, if you want. It has its uses...

[For now. Bakura saw little worth in keeping it long term, though. After all, he was more than willing to lose his for revenge and power.]

Who says I can't? I still have to honor the favors I owe you, maybe, but that doesn't mean I have to learn anything more from you -- or keep that side of me around!

[That laughter is grating and she almost wants to punch him, especially with that grin. Something about the leer makes the pit of her stomach twist, however, and she swallows dryly, trying not to let the weird sense of intimidation she feels show.]

I'll keep it all, thanks. Unless you can give me a reason why being a dragon is better than being human.

Because you swore over an onion, that's a binding oath! [Not that he wouldn't go back on something he swore if he needed to.] And you misunderstand. You can keep your human form. You can change your form, after all. This isn't a matter of form, but of soul.

[A beat.] ...There, I taught you something else. Three favours!

What even is -- no, nevermind.

[She doesn't have any idea what the hell he's talking about right now, just rubbing her eyes and stopping right in her tracks. She has no idea what he's gotten onto now -- how is holding onto her humanity holding herself back? -- and she's not going to ask right now. She's not so sure she wants to owe his guy any more favors... or learn whatever way he's teaching it.]

[And she'll be turning on her heel and going somewhere else now, thank you!]

...Hey, where do you think you're going?! [He barks out at her, voice much harsher and irate than before.]

[moderndaydragon]

[And something about that voice sends chills again, but she shakes her head.]

Away from YOU! Where do you think?

H-haha, you fucking idiot! [Time to lie his way back into this agreement.] If you want to turn away from the only person who can help you--go ahead! That dragon will consume your piss-poor soul from the inside out!

[moderndaydragon]

[And that has her stop right in her tracks, looking back at him.]

The three parts of the soul have to live in harmony, after all! [He spreads his arms, chest heaving. Come on back, Karasu...he's not done with you yet.]

Even if you think you're neglecting it...it'll grow! And then, will you be able to control it?!

But it is me. How could it grow if I was just ignoring it?

[...But the fear is already written on her face. No way. It couldn't... but she's already had trouble controlling its instincts, with Malik. Could it really...?

[He speaks lowly, knowing the answer the question eve before it's stated.]

If you ignore your hatred...does it stop growing?

[Suddenly, she can't swallow. It's hard to just breathe, and she's so keenly aware of that pressure in her soul, the energy that feels warm and welcoming but is now frightening her.]

...No. No, it doesn't...

[Could it really do that?]

But that dragon and I, we're the same thing! How would it...

[But no, she doesn't need to ask. It's the same as with hatred. It's something that can consume you wholly, will consume you wholly, and it's just an emotion. How much worse could an actual supernatural dragon do...?

There's silence for a bit as she struggles, then -- wordlessly -- she turns around to fall back into step behind him.]

[He lets her struggle with herself a moment, that malicious grin of his only growing wider when she submits.]

...Good girl. [Bakura turns back around, leading her once more.

Poor, poor Karasu. Woven around the finger of a thief like a piece of silken fabric. He'll make a robe worthy of a King out of you...

He leads them to a cave and stops at the entrance.]

[Unfortunately, Karasu has never had a good support system or friends, so she's very easy to wrap around someone's finger. It just so happens that the Thief King has found a weakness to hit, preying on her fear even as his future self preyed on her affection.

She doesn't respond, just keeping her head down in a way to hide her face with her hair and pulling that pelt around her a bit tighter. She stops when he does, just shifting to shake her feet a little.]

[Bakura gestures towards the inside of the cave. He wonders if this is the one he bested that Nobody-Ka in, hehehe... The ability to utilize the darkness was a powerful weapon, and an exercise in testing honing the senses!]

Transform and navigate through the darkness!

...Why, exactly?

[Yeah, she's submitted to it, but that doesn't mean she's not going to question it.]

[She pulls the skin around her a bit tighter, if just so it will go with her, and focuses on that energy, though it's a little hard to let it flow this time.]
