CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED
[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]
Tja ... det här kommer att lägga sordin på våra studier, är nu inte det?
[Translation: Well...this is going to put a damper on our studies, now isn't it?]
((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.
For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P
If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.
If you have any questions, just head to the mod plurk or send this account a PM, but most importantly--have fun!))

Ryou-kun ha amarini mo, migi nihongo wo hanasu ka? Odoroku beki koto ha ari mase n.
(Ryou-kun speaks Japanese too, right? That's not surprising.)

(I could talk to Ryou-kun if you wanted me to ask anything?)

She draws herself and a chibi Ryou close together, then draws a single speech bubble and connects it to both of them.]

[That's true, but he can't monitor Ryou's words if they can't understand one another. Tch... Well, if he fucks things up for him, he'll have to patch them up. It'd be suspicious if he said no. If Karasu wants to talk to Ryou, then he'll do it.]

[Yes, it's an obvious and dumb statement, but she's just so happy to finally understand someone.]
no subject
[Yes, Ryou is in fact utterly clueless as to what's going on other than that the spirit can't understand him.]
no subject
It's just nice to have someone I can understand.
no subject
But at least we can talk to each other! You're right that that's a good thing.
no subject
[She shifts a little, then suddenly sits up, looking out into the kitchen.]
...Ah, Ryou-kun! The cake's almost ready.
no subject
[Ooh, cake!]
Ah! Do you need any help frosting it or anything?
no subject
[She gets up, nodding a little as she heads towards the kitchen.]
Sure! I've got a bunch of frosting and sprinkles and other stuff, so we can go crazy on it!
no subject
We're kind of lucky this place only messes with people, or else we'd be in real danger.
[Hopping up, he follows her into the kitchen, looking a little more lively.]
That sounds like fun!
no subject
[But forget that, CAAAKE. And it's done! Which means there's now a chocolate cake sitting on the counter as she digs around for icing.]
Cake makes a lot of things better, so I figured I'd make one!
no subject
[That was his point. And oooooh, chocolate cake. He goes to root through the cupboard to get the sprinkles and things.]
It looks really delicious!
no subject
[Ah, here! She comes up with about five different flavors of icing, putting them on the counter so they can pick which one.]
Thanks! I really hope it tastes as good as it looks.
no subject
[That's definitely his pick. Not too strong, like raspberry, and not as bland as vanilla.]
We should make buttercream icing next time! If we layer the cake it'll be really nice with it.
no subject
[She'll snag a couple of knives, then, offering one to Ryou and opening the container.]
If we do, though, we should make a huge cake for everyone. I'm sure they'll all need it!
no subject
Un! We'll do it to celebrate, then. But maybe we should make a lot of little cakes, rather than one big one. The oven might not be able to handle a cake big enough for everyone.
no subject
[She gets to work as well, on the opposite side.]
And if we made a lot of little cakes, then people could just take one and have it all to themselves.
no subject
We can make personalized frosting for the people we know, too.
[He makes a little Blue Eyes on his side.]
no subject
[She notices him drawing, peering over at it and giggling.]
Yeah, definitely. That'll be sure to make them feel even better.
no subject
[Says the shut-in.]
