Please don't bite the newbie!
Just a little to the left and open! [Sibyll announces triumphantly, standing up and pushing the door open to what should have been an unexplored ruin. Except it's not. Clearly confused, she takes a few steps into the bizarrely green courtyard. Pulling out a handgun, she looks around, clearly bewildered. Behind her, the door creaks shut and vanishes into the wall.]
Wait, no! [A little panicked, she presses her hand up against where the door used to be, tapping it lightly in an attempt to hear a hollow 'thump' that may indicate a hidden door. Not that there's any to be found.]
...Well, damn.

hi welcome to campus o/
[Boone is leaning by a nearby wall, cigarette in hand. He nods once towards the wall.]
Door's gone, and it isn't coming back.

This is a dream, isn't it?
no subject
Some dream we're sharing if it is. How'd you know who I am?
no subject
Sibyll, that courier who was shot in the head? I stopped by Novac to talk to your friend and let you shoot an old lady in the face? Good times.
no subject
Yeah, I know a Courier who got shot in the head- but her name was Elle, last I checked. Lot shorter than you. Got the scars to prove it.
[Still, how would she know about Jeannie May otherwise? Boone sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose- he hasn't encountered a double in this place yet, nor has anyone told him it can happen. And... Boone really isn't intelligent enough to be thinking about this for too long without getting a headache. This goddamn place... it gets weirder and weirder. He hasn't actually seen Elle since their first encounter, come to think of it. Shit, maybe he dreamed the entire thing.]
no subject
At least the company isn't too bad? [She gives him a twisted grin to accentuate her dry remark.]
You really don't remember who I am, do you?
no subject
No. Sorry.
[He leans back against the wall and resumes smoking, silent for a moment before he speaks again.]
Both stuck here, though. If you're looking for a way back to the Mojave... there isn't one.
no subject
Okay then, what is this place?
no subject
Looks like some kind of pre-war school. Got a woman who likes to talk to us over the intercom occasionally about grades and stuff. Pretty sure she's nuts.
[So long as his personal life isn't involved, Boone doesn't mind answering questions. Everyone who turns up here has them.]
Turns out we're on an island of some kind. Don't know where. Not sure it really matters.

Heey glad you could make it!
[Eventually, Vulpes decides to speak up.] Another lost soul, fallen into the gilded prison. How fortunate that you have me here to welcome you.
no subject
Now this is a pleasant surprise. Just to clear things up, I didn't just trigger a trap and get a face full of something to make me hallucinate and you're actually here, right?
no subject
I can assure you that I am, in fact, sitting right here.
[He pauses briefly before continuing.] Your words seem to imply that you know me?
no subject
You made quite the impression on me at Nipton, for starters. Then, out of the blue, you appear in New Vegas to give me this. [She holsters her pistol and reaches into one of the pockets in her armor to produce the golden Mark of Caesar]
no subject
[Teaching that wicked and cowardly bunch a lesson had been the last thing he'd done before arriving here. Vulpes doesn't recall meeting an outsider while there.]
[For now, however, what really grabs his attention is that very familiar looking Mark. Rising to his feet, the Legionary abruptly snatches it out of the woman's hand and examines it for authenticity. As far as he can tell, this is the real thing.]
...Hm. [With a thoughtful frown, Vulpes returns the Mark.] Either my memory has gone since arriving here, or time is passing in very strange ways. What did my Lord want with you?
no subject
[She pulls up closer to Vulpes, looking him square in the face. The smile has faded, playfulness replaced with curiosity.]
You really don't remember any of this, do you?
no subject
[Vulpes stands his ground, meeting the woman's gaze with his own cold stare.]
None of it.
[He doesn't like feeling left in the dark, particularly not on something this important.]
Do you claim to be a friend of the Legion?
no subject
I'm not a foe of the Legion. Caesar has presented an interesting view of how he wants to shape the Mojave, though I have to admit, the benefits to me are limited. Of course there's the usual fame, gratitude, what have you, but I have my eye on something else.
[Her replies may be vague, but she does pronounce 'Caesar' correctly]

Uhm. I think you'd need more firepower to break down the wall. It's a really strong wall.
no subject
I suppose you're right. [She holsters the pistol.]
Now, you wouldn't happen to know what this place is, would you?
no subject
I don't know what it's called, but it's some kind of school. Only there's not really any teachers, so I guess it's mostly abandoned. For some reason, someone's been kidnapping people and leaving them here. I'm not sure why. The only people I've met here have been pretty rich, so maybe it's a ransom thing, but that doesn't explain me.
no subject
And who are you?
no subject
[Ryou laughs a little awkwardly, embarassed at himself. Well, she doesn't seem hostile, so that's good. Still, he's never seen someone like this before.]
My name is Ryou Bakura. I'm a student at Domino High School. It's a pleasure to meet you. And you?
no subject
You can just call me Sibyll. I'm from New Vegas, in what used to be Pre-War Nevada.
[Just a hunch, but she suspects her answer is going to confuse him.]
no subject
Pre-War? I didn't know anything like that had happened to America. Maybe the news hasn't gotten to Japan yet...
[Or maybe he's been in here longer than he thinks. Either's possible. With his blackouts, it'd be all to easy to lose track of time.]
no subject
[Still, not wanting to look like a clueless idiot in front of a kid, Sibyll decides to change her tack a little.]
Ah, Ryou...what year is it?
[She's still all smiles and kindness, if sounding a teensy bit confused herself.]
