[Malik had found something while looking through the East Wing. Just what that "something" was becomes apparent when an engine roars to life, and the skid of tires on tiled flooring echoes through the halls.

Sure...sure, he could just walk his new bike outside...but where was the fun in that?! This wasn't an ATV, and it likely wasn't going to fair well in the spotty terrain outdoors...

So he's just going to take a few smooth-riding laps in the halls before he goes to test it outside.

When somebody gets in his way, he rears the bike back onto one wheel, skidding a few feet on the floor before the front tire slams back down and he comes to a stop.]

[Ahh, that felt good. After Malik's thrown him off so much, hearing him get this flustered is heaven.]

[He had a point, after all. Malik tosses his magazine aside and swiftly heads for the bedroom.]

[He's in a good mood now! Now he's working on another figure. Let's see... An egyptian palace for the evil lair... And a cute little Kuriboh on a motorcycle for the latest monster.

[Malik's in not such a great mood. In fact, he's going to purposefully sleep on the top bunk just to be sure Ryou can't easily reach him. And if he does try to wake him up...Malik will be looking down on him!]

[It's too bad. Because now, much later, you have a Yami Bakura climbing up to look over the edge of the bed.]

Really... You're so annoyed by such a little thing as to just stay up here? I'm surprised you're so easily embarassed about sex! It's unnecessary.

Tch... [Malik pulled the blanket up, covering the lower half of his face as his eyes shot the most menacing leer he could muster.]

I wasn't embarrassed!

And besides...it's cooler up here. [Which might explain why he's curled up so tightly in that blanket. Malik didn't exactly handle the cold well.]

[Resting his head on his hands, he smirked broadly.]

But... you're Egyptian! Cold isn't something you should be encouraging with your temperament.

Keh, shows how much you know! It was cool where I lived. [Not this cool, of course. It was a stagnant air sort of cool, not the blowing of an AC unit. Being underground at least had that one benefit...but he'd much prefer the heat of the sun than the coolness of the dark.]

[He raises an eyebrow, curiously.]

[Malik frowns, any good humour he had had was gone.] A tomb, actually.

I've spent enough time in those to know they suck as living spaces.

[The bluntness of that first comment irks him a bit, but Malik doesn't do much more than shoot Bakura a warning look over it.]

That's why I need to kill the Pharaoh--so I can free my family from that miserable life of darkness. [He rolls over onto his stomach, folding his arms in front of him and resting his head against them.] Nobody should have to live like that...to have to pledge their life to some Pharaoh they don't know!

[And with that, he disappears downwards... only to return a moment or so later with a bag of cream puffs.]

My host hid these under the bed. Here. We shouldn't talk about this shit on an empty stomach.

...That's right. [Malik stays where he is, waiting for Bakura's inevitable reappearance. ...And there it is--and there was cream puffs.

The Egyptian sits up, taking the bag of cream puffs in his hands.]

So that's where he put them... Too bad I'm not hungry. [Thinking about the Pharaoh put him in a foul mood.]

He just reaches over to check Malik's temperature.]

Save them for later, then. I thought they might cheer you up, that's all. Think there's room for us both up there? This is uncomfortable.

I'll hide them from Ryou. [...Actually, that thought alone started to put him in a better mood. Malik will just slip that bag of cream puffs to the corner of his bed for now.]

Yeah, fine. [It's a little begrudging, but Malik does scoot over to the other side of the bed, inviting Bakura up with that spare room.]
