CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: SNOWED IN
[Early morning on the 15th, the building is deathly chilly as well as unusually dark. Even with the heat on people will find themselves wandering the halls and shivering, their breath fogging up in front of them. Anybody foolish enough to try and leave the building will find that the door simply won't budge due to the amount of snow piled against it, and any attempts to exit (or look) through the windows will greet them with a daunting wall of white. Even the courtyard is inaccessible, as is the door leading up to the rooftop.
Outside on the island, it seems a heavy snow storm has blanketed everything in a thick layer of white.]
((ooc: The event will last 7 days, with the first 4 being snowed-in, the 5th being a blizzard, the 6th another snow-in day, and the 7th having the snow melting. A post will be made on the 19th and 21st respectively. You can see the conditions here, and on the weekly weather sticky:
15th Wed: -32~-20°F; 20 mph; SNOWED IN
16th Thurs: -30~-23°F; 26 mph; SNOWED IN
17th Fri: -28~-18°F; 18 mph; SNOWED IN
18th Sat: -37~-29°F; 21 mph; SNOWED IN
19th Sun: -45~-38°F; 32 mph; SNOWED IN / BLIZZARD CONDITIONS
20th Mon: -15~0°F; 15 mph; SNOWED IN
21st Tues: 10~20°F; 5 mph winds; SNOW MELTING
Mingle, tag around, make your own posts and most of all--have fun! If you have any questions just contact the mod account. Characters with magic powers or a lot of strength CAN get through the doors, but those doors won't stay clear for long. The snow is VERY heavy.))

[Malik tugs his own blanket back up, eying the title screen with disdain as he realizes that his own body was shivering just as badly.]
What now...? We only grabbed one movie, and it's still freezing.
no subject
[in Harriet's bag: Breakfast at Tiffany's, Bridget Jones' Diary, Kate & Leopold...]
...but ah, th-those were the ones I'd watch by myself.
[that stammer was definitely owed to the chill, and not the mortifying idea of introducing Malik to romcoms. Harriet shifts back under the blanket.]
We'll figure something out. For now let's just get warm. Maybe have a chat.
[Or maybe more than that - she hadn't forgotten a few long looks given to eachother before the movie managed to draw them back in.]
no subject
[Pulling the blanket tightly around his shivering frame, Malik tightens his jaw to stop his teeth from chattering.]
Maybe we can play a game...
no subject
[its beauty lies in the fact that they do not have to get off the couch to play]
no subject
...Would I rather what?
no subject
No, that's the name of the game. You ask each other 'would you rather' questions. Like for example: Would you rather replace Edna for a week, or make out with Lisa?

[and if he wants to play a card game, at least decide on one!]
no subject
[He doesn't even skip a beat when he says it. He's totally serious!]

[and now he's searching his pants under the blanket. Um.]
What're you doing?
no subject
Grabbing my deck.
no subject
Hey now, we're still deciding! You can't just whip out your deck.
no subject
[It's not like they need fancy holograms or actual summoning to play.]
no subject
[Harriet crosses her arms. She might be leaning over for emphasis. Also, she's not digging for her own deck just yet, to be contrary.]

[In other words, if the opportunity arises...]
But fine, if you trust me so little, then we can have things your way. Just this once.
no subject
[what a strange friendship they have.]
Well, are you going to answer the first question, or do you want to come up with one?
no subject
[That's not what's amusing him. You're frightened of losing to him in a proper duel, Harriet!]
That first question? I thought that was an example!
no subject
It was, but there's no reason why it couldn't be answered as part of the example.
[she's too lazy to come up with another one ok]
