MINGLE: LASER TAG ARENA
[Being from Ancient Egypt and all that, seeing the dark, neon-lite laser tag room is enough to make him stumble back in awe. On the wall are vests with a sensor above the heart, as well as a set of guns.
Just beside that is a set of rules that Bakura sure as hell can't read:
EACH PLAYER TAKES ONE VEST AND ITS CORRESPONDING GUN.
DO NOT COVER UP THE SENSOR ON THE VEST.
THE OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME IS TO HIT THE TARGET ON OTHER PLAYERS' VESTS.
WHEN YOU ARE HIT, YOUR GUN WILL TURN OFF.
THE LAST PLAYER STANDING WINS!
Needless to say, he just takes a gun and decides to explore the room.]
((ooc: decided to intro one of the new rooms that I added last week (I'll also add these specifics to the setting page). Anyway, play laser tag with each other, tag around, and have fun! Feel free to handwave your character re-entering the game if you want to keep playing after they've already lost once.
Also, feel free to be a big fat cheater and not play by the rules, if that's how your character rolls! That's the fun of RP, isn't it?))

[He casually follows her, using the trigger guard to spin the gun around his finger.]

Okay. Start walking and I'll count.
no subject
[He jokes and turns to start walking. Usually he wouldn't turn his back to an opponent, but the sensor was on the front of his chest.
Besides, he could hear her... If she moved, he'd know it, at least until he gets deeper into the maze of walls and neon. Then it's a matter of her voice.]
no subject
[She sticks her tongue out at him, then waits until he starts going before counting.]
One, two, three...
[Okay... he disappeared that way, so the best way to go would be... over there, maybe?]
...nineteen, twenty!
[And that's where she's going, as quickly, but as quietly, as she can. She had to yell that last number, sure, but that doesn't mean she's going to stick around where she yelled it.
Unfortunately, she's no thief. She does know how to move quietly, but it's far away from actual silently. Especially weighed down as she is.]
no subject
Once Karasu starts moving, he rounds a corner and begins to silently follow. Even with all his rings, jewelry, and robes, he's quiet as a cat. It helps that he shoved any loose gold into the waistband of his shendyt, but even then it was a feat.
He stays far enough away and staggers his progression just so that should she turn around, he can always duck out of sight.]
no subject
She does occasionally glance behind her, getting the sense of being followed specifically from that direction, but she's never quite quick enough to catch sight of him. Is he really that way...?
...Well, she can think of one way to try to figure it out. She has no idea if it'll work or not, but even as creepy as this is feeling, it is just a game. She runs her hand along one of the walls, trying to focus any sense of hers to pick up something from behind her as she mentally counts what of the barriers she can see.
There. She slips between a couple of them, then moves to nearly press against the wall she's following, turning around to see if she can catch him as he comes out. If he is following, and if she can get lucky...]
no subject
Karasu is no where in sight, so Bakura can only guess that she rounded a corner while he was hidden. Stepping out entirely, he reaches up and means to climb on top of the wall itself. It's high with no footholds, but he has enough upper body strength to pull himself up.]
no subject
Karasu steps forward, unknowingly giving away her own position from the noise of doing so as she yanks her gun up and fires.]
no subject
[Bakura has a split second to react. He knows one thing: if the sensor on his chest is hit, it's game over, but instead of letting go of the wall and dropping down, he covers his sensor--negating the shot--and then pulls himself over the wall and lands on the other side.
The sound of receding, hurried footsteps and laughter can be heard until he manages to silence even that.]
no subject
[But Karasu knew he was going to do that anyway. She quickly goes after the sound while he's still making it, stopping only once the sound does and pressing herself into the wall again. Getting a dark hoodie for this really was the best idea she had.
But now she had to find him again. Where did you go, Thief King~?]
no subject
Going off of that assumption, Bakura takes the long way around to get to the area he'd noisily run through. He won't risk running out again. Instead he crouches down and draws his gun as well as a loose bracelet.
Carefully, he rolls it out into the center area.]
no subject
...Oh, crap. The moment her eyes lay on the bracelet, she realizes she's been tricked, and tries to quickly move back and out of the way of wherever he might be.]
no subject
H-hahahaha! You lose, Karasu!
no subject
[But she doesn't honestly sound irritated about that. Really, it was her own fault for not explicitly saying that you couldn't cover them up or something. She rolls her shoulders a little, then shifts her gun to a more comfortable holding position.]
But all right. You win. I owe you a meal.
no subject
[There's laughter in his voice. He knows he cheated--as far as moving before it was time--but she didn't know that! And when she'd explained the rules for their little game...she forgot to mention no covering the sensor!]
Good, good, then let's go! These lights are an eye sore.
no subject
She shrugs a bit, heading over to the entrance to sling up the vest and gun.]
How stocked is your room and what do you want?
no subject
[He tosses the vest and gun on the floor, them being useless and undesirable to him now.]
But you know... [Bakura rounds his way in front of her, blocking her path.] If you're cooking, you should use your own food.
no subject
...Well, he hasn't bothered her lately, so no point in trying to keep her dorm a secret.]
All right, fair enough. Let's go.
no subject
no subject
Make yo-- [No, wait, this is Bakura. He'll do that anyway.] -- please don't break anything.
no subject
[He says with a hint of suppressed laughter as he makes his way over to the couch. Bakura splays across it, slipping his bracelets back onto his wrists and--oops.
He'd forgotten to pick up that one back in the laser tag room, hadn't he? Fuck.]
Tch. I'll be right back. [He hopes back up and heads for the door.]
no subject
All right.
[When Bakura gets back, it will be to the smell of cooking. Karasu knows to not let it get too done -- she likes hers still a little bloody too -- but since she, at least, plans on keeping up her side well, she's dug out all of her spices to add to the meal and make things a bit tastier.
She doesn't seem to notice Bakura come in, just humming an odd sort of lullaby under her breath as she works.]
no subject
H-heh heh, it smells good in here!
no subject
[Welcome back, by the way. Not that she'd say it.]
It'll be done in a bit.
no subject
[He was complimenting you, just take it.]
And I'd hope so, I'm starving.
