CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: THE LANGUAGE BARRIER REINSTATED

[Today, something somewhere went wrong. On the evening on the 15th, any bilingual (or otherwise) knowledge granted by the Campus has simply...disappeared. At least for anybody walking by the North Wing.]

((ooc: So! For the next 5 days (the 15th~20th), your character officially only knows their native tongue. Aka, whatever language they primarily grew up with. They can no longer read, speak, or understand any other language but.

For fun you can even use Google Translate to show what your character is speaking at a glance! Don't worry, we all know it's probably gibberish :P

If you go the Google route, please be sure to put a translation at the bottom. If not, then please take care to specify what language your character is speaking in at the start of every thread.

The smile brightens up as she laughs a little, just popping a piece of her lunch in her mouth and giving Bakura a thumbs-up. Cake and meat would make this all better!

[She blinks a little at the gesture, frowning in confusion before she remembers what had just passed. Oh, yeah!

She nods a bit, smiling and pointing at the bedroom door. She's got it sitting in her nightstand, in fact! Though she does give a bit of an apologetic look as well.

She never was that good at valentines.]

Heheheh... [He's pretty sure she either told him she had it in her room, or she got laid on Valentine's. Either way, it's good! ...though he'd have to deal with whoever screwed her because goddammit don't taint his dragon.]

[She polishes off the rest of her plate, leaning back on the couch and stretching some with a bit of a sigh. It's a little irritating, all of this, but at the least it's letting her get used to how Egyptian should sound.

[She hesitates, then reaches over to pat Bakura's back in what she hopes is a comforting gesture.

[He stays like that for a moment before lifting his head to give her a sheepish grin. Then, a thought occurs to him. Grabbing the paper, he draws a chibi Ryou, only really distinguishable from him by the hair and exaggerated cuteness, and a chibi him. He draws a speech bubble from each. Then he simply crosses out the speech bubbles.]

[Um... She blinks, tilting her head and looking from it to him.]

Ryou-kun... wo rikai suru koto ha deki mase ka?
(You can't understand Ryou-kun?)

[What is she asking? He doesn't have a clue. Except that it involves Ryou. Now he could let Ryou out and Ryou could speak to her, but...

Grabbing one of his cards, he taps the Japanese symbols... and then the chibi Ryou.]

[Oh! She nods a little, understanding now.]

(Ryou-kun speaks Japanese too, right? That's not surprising.)

[Folding his arms on the table, he rests there for a moment before tapping his head and miming banging it against the table. It really did give him a headache.]
