Joint Post! Like an Old Married Couple
[From just outside the jungle's trees, near the mountainside, some bickering can be heard:]
Here. It's probably fresher than you'd like, but it's all we have.
...I can't eat that, Bakura.
You don't have the option to be picky, Malik!
No...I really can't, you fool!
Tch... I can cook it a bit more, but we have to be careful, or the smoke from the fire will give us away!
Ughh...can't you find some fruit? Just look up.
Do you want to die? If someone finds you while I'm out looking for fruit, you'll have worse problems than having to eat meat.
But Bakura... [Malik sounds a bit like he might be ill.] My stomach...
O-oy! Hold on a little longer, okay? I'll see if I can find something close by. I'll stay within earshot, so if someone approaches, scream.
Just get a couple...I don't need that much.
Be quiet, you idiot. You need to eat something. [He chomps down on the meat Malik refused to eat.]
Well? I can't eat anything if you don't go get something!
((ooc: So! Tags will come from both Bakura and Malik. If we're going to tag you with both on a turn we'll put a "1/2" in the subject line, otherwise it's just one at a time. Also since the two of them are injured, we just ask that nobody with magic healing powers comes along to heal them up and stuff. Thanks!

If Namu's a good friend, we're going to have to be around each other a lot, since... well, we're still friends too, right?

He was making him out to be a helpless fool...! But at the same time, he really was worried about losing track of him. It's not as if he could really survive an ambush on his own. He needed allies right now, more than anything. He needed Bakura.
...Despite his injury he gets up, limping over to the two of them to take a seat next to Bakura.]
Haha...what was it, Karasu-chan? [He smiles harshly.] Why don't you go die before I kill you?
no subject
Ah...? Namu-kun?
no subject
[Still playing the nice guy, he shoots Malik a stern look as he gets to his feet slowly.]
I can see you're in a bad mood, so how about we break up this little shindig for a while? Karasu-chan, I'll walk you a little way into the forest.
no subject
Who said I was joking? [He glances at her with a toothy smirk. The look in his eyes only supported the fact that he was serious.]
no subject
Ah... I do think I'd... better go for now, Bakura-kun...
[Yeah, she feels uncomfortable with that smirk of his.]
no subject
[When Karasu's not looking, he rises to his feet. His foot 'accidentally' gives a sharp kick to Malik's side, though not terribly hard. He doesn't need to kick him hard. The wound will do the rest. Then, he steps over to Karasu.]
Let's go. I'll be back in a moment, Namu! Try not to frighten any more women while I'm gone.
no subject
B-Bakura...you bastard! That woman was useless in their plans!]
no subject
...he was serious, wasn't he?
no subject
...he's just a kid. They say crazy things when they're hurting. I'd take no notice of it.
no subject
[She still seems worried, rubbing her hands together.]
If he's your friend, then... well... I don't want to hurt him. But what if he is serious?
no subject
[He remembers the feel of that scalpel against his neck and has to bite back a twisted smile. Malik really is messed up.
It's quite wonderful.]
More to the point... are you alright?
no subject
[She manages a weak smile, inclining her head some.]
...Funny, huh? I'm a dragon and I'm still scared by threats like that.
no subject
Truthfully, I'm a little pleased.
[He flashes her a smile again, looking at ease.]
If you weren't bothered by it, that'd mean it happened a lot to you. It'd be pretty sad, wouldn't you say?
no subject
I hadn't really thought about that. It really would be sad, huh?
[A beat.]
Namu-kun is... really okay, right? Even despite what he said there, for whatever reason?
no subject
[Very deep down.
...he really hopes the sob story works at least a little.]
no subject
I see... then... I'll leave it up to you! I'll try to give Namu-kun some space and get along with him when we are together.
no subject
I'd probably better not go much further, but Karasu-chan... I'm glad you came to see me. When we get back to the building, I'll come visit you.
no subject
[She stops, nodding a couple times and smiling again.]
Okay. I'll hold you to that, Bakura-kun! Until then... take care of him, and I'll see you later. If you need my help, just... let me know, okay?
no subject
[Shooting her a cheeky grin, he disappears back into the foliage to return to the campsite.]
no subject
...Bakura. [His eyes narrow at the sight of him.]
no subject
[He lets his voice lapse into its usual mannerisms after that note of sarcasm.]
It's fine, she's gone. In a generally good mood, too.
no subject
Ohh...too bad. I was hoping she'd run home in tears.
no subject
[He sank down onto the grass besides Malik, shooting him a curious look.]
Don't tell me you're jealous.
