CAMPUS WIDE EVENT: EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK
[Hopefully everybody likes waking up outside.
Because as it were, in the middle of the night when everybody had been asleep or lulled into a sudden one by the sheer weight of the air around them...the Campus disappeared in its entirety. Left behind was only the cool surface of the concrete foundation.
For now it seems the residents were left to fend for themselves in the wilderness of the island. Not even the voice from over the intercom would comfort them.]
((ooc: the school has disappeared, along with all the NPCs and everything that was inside! no opt-out areas this time around. The temperature is cool during the day, and colder at night.
The event will last until October 20th, and I'll post a closer to signify it. Everything will be returned to its rightful place then.))

You thought it would be gone by the morning. That makes you pretty damn naive. Colds always get worse.
no subject
This is the worst time I could have gotten sick...
no subject
[He offers him an orange.]
no subject
Can you peel it for me?
no subject
[He isn't sure Malik would appreciate him using his knife, so he just uses his hands to break the peel and tear it off, holding the inner part of the orange out to him.]
Luckily the traps I set up should be enough to let you rest. No need for a lookout.
no subject
That's good... Hopefully this cold doesn't get any worse. I'm not looking forward to moving right now, let alone walking...
no subject
[Malik, why are you and his host so fastidious? Jeez.]
no subject
[He tosses a handful of seeds into the fire and then continues eating.]
Is this really all we have to eat? I like fruit, but after the last time we were out here I realized I can't just eat only fruit. It's like eating candy all day...
no subject
I don't exactly have a goddamn vegetable garden, you know.
no subject
There has to be something...nuts, maybe? Anything.
no subject
[He gets up, going to get them - and pauses. Something's moving...]
Quiet, Malik. There's movement out there.
[Crouching down, he tugs the knife out, sneaking to the cave entrance.]
...?
no subject
Staying still and in place, he watches the cave entrance for any signs of life. If something tried to come at Bakura's blind spot, he could at least warn him.]
no subject
A dead chicken.]
False alarm... it seems it got caught in the trap.
no subject
Ugh, now I'll have to smell it...
no subject
[He grabs Malik's nuts and gives them to him before sitting down nearer the entrance to begin plucking the bird.]
Chicken meat is pretty bland, but beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
no subject
They didn't seem easy to open either. He literally has to grab a rock to break the shells when his fingers and teeth fail him. Nothing quite like working for your food.]
Just try not to stink up the place.
no subject
[Setting the fire going again, it having almost died out during the night, he sits back to finish his work. That done, he grabs a stick he'd fashioned into almost a spike the day before, spears the chicken and uses some rocks to prop it up over the fire.]
no subject
[These nuts are a pain in the ass. Malik's only opened a few so far. At least they're pretty robust on the inside, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it.]
no subject
[Sitting back, he leans on his hands and watches the chicken cook.]
no subject
[Malik turns his back to Bakura, intent on ending the conversation.]
no subject
[Bakura just grumbles, looking over the weird plants Ryou pointed out. These were supposed to add flavour, right?
...just going to taste one of them, and immediately spit it out. Ugh, not that one, then.]
no subject
[He's definitely ending the conversation now! Malik stuffs a few nuts in his mouth, chewing furiously.]
no subject
[He scowls, turning back to the meat and waiting for it to cook.]
no subject
Some time passes, and Malik wakes up having not even realized he fell asleep. He sits up and looks over at Bakura who was still eating.
He couldn't have been out that long if he was still eating, and the cave smelled...not too bad, actually. Maybe it was just whatever seasoning he'd used, because he could certainly smell that.]
no subject
It was a good thing Malik had slept through him reluctantly waking Ryou to ask him about them. Right now, he hadn't even noticed he was awake.]
